A small Zero vs Omega remake.
Like this? youtube.com
Nothing, Zero series is perfect and shouldn't be tainted.
>That part when Ciel meets Zero while the Guardians fight Omega and he gets the will to defeat him
...
I'm ok with fangames
would be great if that game is done in my lifetime tho
>That part where Omega's being sandwiched between X and Zero's buster shots
>foxears for hair
Why? also who would tune her up and run base operations?
Who found the helmet after the end of 4?
Nothing, Zero series is a disgrace for Megaman
>face right up to camera
Z2 > Z1 > Z3 > Z4
Did anyone play around with the weather changing mechanic in Zero 4? I'm genuinely curious. I knew it was there but never felt like using it.
>Mega Man
>Hope
AAAAAAAAhahahahaha
>disgrace
is greek for "peak"?
is greek for "this grass"
the katana is not the peak of swords no matter how many gorillion times it's folded
Z4 > Z3 > Z1 > Z2
thats disgusting and you fucking know it. z4 was the worst hands down and the easiest at that
z2=z1>z3>>>>z4
There's not much to play around with
each level has 2 versions, an easy mode and a hard mode
If you beat the level on the hard weather option you get an EX skill from the boss
Has Zero ever had a better theme?
Nice toys.
Hm. Wish the game had made that clear to me the first time around.
Z3>Z2>Z4>Z1 is the only valid answer
Z3 is the peak of the whole megaman franchise, and Z2 is a very good game despite having a terrible bossfight, Z4 follows the kinda-boring MMX streamlined Megaman experience but it's better than the experimental yet innovative MMZ
Z4 reminded me of X2.
But you're right, Z2 should've been at the top.
Z2 > Z4 > Z3 > Z1
Z3's arguably better, but I only ever kept going back to it because of the final fight.
>peak of the whole megaman franchise
Nah. Kinda hard for there to be a peak with such a fractured franchise anyways.
translation?

I love Zero's X3 theme.
Shit, nice figure posing.
His X2 theme is balls-to-the-wall. I love it: youtube.com
Those drums.
More of this
I understand the hype for Omega Zero bullshit, but story of Z3 is boring anyway.
More cute robots.
I don't get it. She doesn't even have much of a face.
Even better.
Good stuff.
A shit.
its a shame that zx died after 2 games
>that dbz power-up entrance
>viral armor
>temporary invincibility
>teleportation counter
Geez. Is it just me or is Zero really fucking _______cool?
Z3>Z2>Z4>Z1
I like Z1 a lot but I despise the grinding aspect.
I love that one where Zero gets raped by a massive fucking Omega cock.
He's radical.
Yeah. Kinda sucks X can't seem to do half that cool shit despite having like 3 armors and 8 weapons. The Ultimate Armor's especially lost its appeal with how many times it shows up in official and fan games.
She's kinda cute for a killing machine.
>Viral Zero video shows Zero whipping out his cool moves and coasting through the stage
>5 minute video
>Phoenix Armor video shows X flying through the same stage in 3 minutes
>One-shots the miniboss and burns Rafflar
youtube.com
I guess the rule of cool applies here.
At this point it's been like what, 7 years or something since the guy started doing this? This shit will come out in 2018 or 19 at this points
I hate how the Megaman series, the X series and the Zero series all suffer the same fucking problem.
>big plot that throughout all the games, never gets solved, because "THE BATTLE CONTINUES" is the ending of every single damn game
Which is what i think is one of the big reasons why the franchises are dead in the first place, its too late to bring out new villains and playing many games just to have the same fucking ending is bad design, it just undermines everything you do throughout the series
X8 for example "tried" to do something different with the plot by having Sigma NOT be the final boss. (Although it could be argued that he is, since the new generation reploids are all Sigma). I say "tried" because at the end of the day it is still "reploids went Maverick, go stop
>Zero series
>big plot that throughout all the games, never gets solved
lol
but isn't the Zero series' story just an extension of the X series? I played Z1 and it just turned out that copy X went bananas and now Zero has to do X's job forever
A friend played Z2 and told me the plot is no different from the X series as well, so i lost interest
You haven't played Z4, did you?
You can't really say that all the games are the same plotwise by only having played one of them.
It's almost like the plot is just a throwaway excuse to have the games to begin with.
I didn't even knew Z4 existed, i thought it ended in Z3.
>You can't really say that all the games are the same plotwise by only having played one of them
Once i saw the plot of Z1 i just lost interest, i did finish the game but damn i remember how my interest died in 5 minutes when i saw where it was going
Its why i can't play classic Megaman anymore, i hate plots that go nowhere and to me, an ending can ruin a whole game if done incorrectly
Z2 is about a "fallen hero".
I think Z2 has best story in MMZ series but it's just my oppinion.
You can always fell for the Omega Zero meme in Z3, though.
>Omega Zero meme
care to explain?
MMBN VII
It's kind of a long story
There's another Zero who's evil and there's a big kerfuffle over who the fake one is
Makes for a pretty rad boss fight though, especially in ZX
Instead for X vs Zero from X5, we have Fake Zero vs Original Zero.
>and there's a big kerfuffle over who the fake one is
They both are.
MMZero doesn't have his memories of his time during the Reploid crisis but he contains the same soul.
OmegaZero DOES have Zero's memories and body from that time, but is a different soul.
Effectively, neither of them is the same Zero from the MMX series and a case could be made that both of them are.
I wouldn't mind another remastered soundtrack, perhaps with less elec guitar than Mythos.
I quite liked Resonnant Vie, but found that some of the tracks were much too different in tone from their original counterparts.
The version of Departure back in Magfest 2016 was really good, an album version of that would be great
Omega Zero doesn't have anything except the power, user.
It can't talk at all.
>Ware wa messiah nari!
For it to stay dead.
>Windows XP Startup.wav
Zero voluntarily sealed himself in some labs to prevent the spread of a reploid killing virus, but scientists realized the body actually holds the very antibodies that could combat it. So they started running tests after transferring Zero's mind elsewhere, in case things went south.
Some asshole called Weil figured Zero's positive reaction to the Sigma virus made the body a perfect candidate to utilize Mother Elf (basically a huge powerful Cyber Elf), which can then be used to remotely control ALL reploids (hence Omega's "I will become the Messiah")
So Weil hijacked the body, created a new AI within it, and named it Omega. The Zero you control in the Z series is indeed the true Zero in mind, but his body is an emergency duplicate that was created to fight Omega.
>year who knows when at this point
>still not a single scientist that can perform an experiment right
>youtube.com
This is amazing, I had no idea they performed again. Now I really do hope for a new album, and judging by this performance, I don't think they necessarily have to do only Zero tracks, Classic and ZX are more than welcome.
Wily > Weil
Prove me wrong.
I guess Wily has a lot more history, but I preferred Weil a lot more because his aim was more clear cut and practical.
I also liked the way he was used in the last scene of Zero 4, asking if Zero can bring himself to kill one of the humans he has sworn to protect. The scene I think reminded and solidified the fact that Zero is not Megaman or X, he's a guy who would gladly kill the minority to save the majority.
Has Wily or any of his robots killed a human at some point if we only count classic MM?
...
No, probably not
How many openings to Classic Megaman games have cities being bombed?
During the ending of Mega Man and Bass, Protoman tells Bass that the reason he can't beat Mega Man is because Mega Man has something to protect. Is that why the main character of each series cannot lose? The real source of Mega Man's power?
At first I only thought it was that Mega Man/X/Zero are just that powerful, but then in Zero 3, Zero in a copy body fights against his original body and still wins. So it must be more than just them being powerful robots (barring the unlikely scenario that Zero's knockoff body was actually stronger than his original body all along). Perhaps that "something to protect" thing that Protoman mentioned is some viable source of power for robots in the Mega Man universe.
Ciel has a nice ass.
>Z1 - Post-war pseudo utopia for humans after more than half of the population wiped out
>energy crisis that resulted in a Logan's Run/The Giver for reploids culling them to prioritize providing humans the energy demand
>as a result, plunging them into war with each other despite the eradication of the sigma virus
>Z2 - strengthened resistance due to neo arcadia's loss of their symbolic leader
>new resistance leader moves forward with an aggressive attack on neo arcadia despite zero's advisory that failed, resulting in the annihilation of their forward troops
>leader is guilt stricken from the failed assault and becomes a power hungry ego that hoped to become a 'hero' as much as zero was and becomes twisted by that self-ideology that carried with him from the moment he escaped neo arcadia
It's like hating good vs evil themes for being too common - the backstory is amazing compared to X's cookie cutter storyline.
Mega Man Zero 3DS Collection with expanded field of view and remastered music
>with expanded field of view
That would be so nice.
>DS collection didn't have expanded field of view
What a fucking crime
At least the music was polished a bit
A new collection ported to Steam
