Maybe if you are playing Geko where shield are alien technology but getting hundreds of kills with bow is shit when every third shot hits a shield

I have it on Xbone. The only thing wrong with it is the battles. They're small. 105 AI soldiers on the battlefield max.
The wrong thing must be the controls, I barely imagine how the combat system works on controllers.

He, that kinda sucks, that was the top number in the last few betta versions of the original M&B. Warband on PC currently has a max of 200 but pretty much everyone goes past that limit with the unofficial battle size changer.
Archers are fucking broken in Gekokujo.
Controls are solid. And trackpad works as mouse in menus.
LT to block. RT to swing your sword/crossbow/etc. It's quite simple and easy to learn. I haven't had a problem with it except for ordering my troops around but you can do it fast if you practice.

Why? It's not like there are a lot buttons you need to control the game.
I guess the formation stuff is the biggest problem but you don't really need to mess with it so much.

L2 and right stick direction is block, R2 and right stick direction to attack.
Orders are ok, handled on D Pad, if you know where everything is its fine.
I'm certain the Xbone/PS4 could do 150 if they really tried. But it doesn't matter because I crush all armies.

How? It's pretty much as M&B should have been at launch. Everyone got over the lancing nerf too. In the original you could keep your lance ready 24/7 and almost solo battles just by aiming and charging. You never have the problem of chasing down few steppe riders at the end of battles in Warband either because they always run.

Won't matter, I'll flank you with my 120 knights; 40 on each side and 40 right on, you won't stand a chance against the instakill lance-charges.
