ITT the most autistic controller designs ever
18 to post etc
Kids who grew up on the 360 now can post.
Which means now you get to enjoy stupid shitpost threads like these where retards that are nostalgic for CoD MW are posting.
WAKE ME UP
>lets make the battery life 30 minutes
It made for girls obviously
>Dicklets don't know how to use the controller
The N64 controller make look like it was designed by the most autistic nip in Japan and was the one Nintendo controller that actually had poor build quality, but it wasn't nonfunctional or uncomfortable by any means.
why do people use the word autistic without knowing its meaning?
New to Sup Forums eh?
I'd leave if I were you. It gets worse here on out.
Please explain to me how a controller meets even 4chins definition of autistic.
Your a fucking idiot dude why not talk about what was really wrong with the controller
Best designed controller for its purpose.
Found the autist
It's a meme, autistic kids don't socialise with other kiddos.

3D movement and the joystick itself was very new. The D-pad was and insurance policy in case the joystick didn't catch on. Take out the joystick and it is essentially an SNES controller with handles. You weren't supposed to use the D-pad in most cases.
but its not 30 minutes
The only problem with the DS4 was the rubber wore out on the thumbsticks but they fixed that.
>The D-pad was and insurance policy in case the joystick didn't catch on.
Wrong, it was there so developers could develope 2d games.
The N64 controller was great. Is it as good as modern controllers? No. But for the first analog stick controller ever, it actually made a lot of sense. Having the middle leg and the analog stick as the default left-hand position reinforced the idea that you'd be gaming with analog, not using the D-Pad like every console previously.
>When dumbass kids are now old enough to post here about the N64 controller being bad
Not only are kids from 1998 allowed post here but you got actual children born in 02-07 posting here RIGHT FUCKING NOW
>30 minutes
I have been playing nonstop titanfall 2 on that controller for like 3 days straight, and only just now hit the 1/3 mark. I mean I have dualshock turned off, but still.
doesn't look fixed???
Sup Forums doesn't have a definition of autism it has tall poppy syndrome in the worst way.
It's a cop out for people who are comfortable with mediocrity.
Everyone who tries, thinks, or gives effort is autistic. That way you can blame other people who do better than you at anything.
Niggah dey all Chinese
>Triggers get mushy.
>Controller feels flimsy.
>Awkward placement share and options buttons.
>Battery life.
>Useless speaker, light bar and touch pad.
>Same ancient blister-machine D-pad from the PSX onward.
Look, I think it's the best playstation controller to date but anyone saying it's the best controller is cock riding fanboy.
You can buy good quality joystick replacements off ebay for like 2 bucks a pop. Easy as fuck to replace and make it just like new.
That user's right, they even tried to remove the D-pad altogether on the GameCube controller, and only added it back because devs complained (which explains why it's so tiny and useless).
Yep I did do this but I am talking about the one actual flaw of that controller.
No. This is.
I'm not disagreeing with you, just letting anons know it's an option.
Clean your hands after you jerk it so your triggers won't get mushy anymore
Learn to hold the controller you fucking retard
Source? Since 3d was pretty new at that time it just makes sense to assume that not every developer was willing to switch over right away. Or maybe Im just overestimationg Nintendo.
This one
Or Nintendo could design a controller that doesn't have an unnecessary extra lump of plastic hanging off of it. Oh wait, they have. Many different times. And they were usually great. The Gamecube took all the buttons on the N64 alien hand controller and put them on a more comfortable controller that made sense and The Wiimote + Nunchuck kind of took the idea behind the N64 of a controller that could be held differently for different game type and did it well by separating the controller down the middle, improving things with added freedom of movement, and potentially useful motion controls (which I'll admit had their potential wasted most of the time)
Literally the best controller of that generation
3D Saturn controller was great too. Like Dreamcast but more buttons and less cramped.
that weird trackpad replacing the second joystick is questionable but I can see what they were going for. That fucking D-pad is unforgivable though.
Man fuck this thing
>But user it's totally fine if you just rethink how to use a controller
>Just ignore how it doesn't work well with most games
No
Fuck that
I have KB/M and I have a controller. There is no reason to complicate things beyond that
