The difficulty of hacking on LAN is incredibly overstated. There is typically not enough organizer overwatch to prevent it as it happens (most hacker busts happen over a demo analysis and DQing the suspected player over strong indications of cheating)

roguelikes actually have endings, you wont win unless you figure out how the rng works but it is possible to consistently win. so with that said, there is rng, hes just gotten used to it. take quake for example, there are random spawns but people can still be good at spawnkilling because they know where they could be and have learned how to consistently outsmart rng

i used to cheat and never got caught. all you have to do is sometimes lose engagements when you come around corners, instead of always shooting them in the head.

cheating will teach you to walk everywhere so you can use footsteps as an excuse.
cheating actually helps you learn spots though, it's the quickest way i can thing of to learn spots.

you can still get out aimed if you use wall hacks though, that shit happened to me all the time. just because i was hacking doesn't mean i couldn't get owned, but if i really wanted to, i could control where engagements took place since i was cheating.

One of the quickest way to spot cheaters are to see how they play, cheaters usually have bad movement,crosshair placement and play inconsistently.
inconsistent play is when they do something one round, like check a corner when advancing, but dont the next round.

cheaters learn bad habits, they dont think about the stuff they do or get better game sense and at the end of they day if you wont ever get better then whats the point? You wont be able to play real competitive with your crutches to help you.
