Why haven't you beaten me yet, Sup Forums?

Why haven't you beaten me yet, Sup Forums?
It's 2017.

Because I have the PAL version

>i had this game
>sold it for about tree fiddy

lel

But I beat this game as a kid
Hat's wrong with it? The mansion bug?

>The mansion bug?
Yes

I never beat any digimon game, but enjoyed them nonetheless. I was too busy farming to evolve some digimons and got bored of it. and whhen I came back i forgot what am I supposed to do and dropped the game

best digimon game reporting in

fun fact : at the beginning of the game you can activate "easy" mode or "hard mode" depending on what choices you pick from the innocent questionnaire from jijimon.

easy mode lets you digivolve upwards while letting you ignore a flaw(such as care mistakes, weight, maybe a stat deficit) while hard mode is very strict with your evolution requirements.

Is this game any good? Is it with a playthrough?

Can't wait for the sequel. Coming out end of January right?

>tfw fell for this lie

What? how? I thought it was only to get tsunomon or koromon.
It's my favorite Digimon game. You might want to play Re:Digitize/Next Order first since those are easier games.

the digivice question only changes the next question
he asks whether you prefer day/night or whether you have friends depending on what you answer. if you answer "day" or "yes", then you get agumon. if you answer "night" or "no" then you get gabumon.

gabumon is pure shit though in game compared to agumon so i guess it is a bit like a difficulty setting. the care mistakes stuff is bs though.

>It in the question "Do you have a digivice?" at the beginning of the game. Selecting no makes it much easier to digivolve into an ultimate and makes the game much more forgiving for care mistakes. While selecting yes does the exact opposite.

>gabumon is pure shit though in game
Fuck you. Garurumon is worth it

I'm gonna all bullshit. Aren't digivices supposed to facilitate evolution in the first place?

Digimon world 2003 was the best digimon world
You can't prove me wrong

Why do you say it's a lie? I'm 25 hours in and loving it.

I'm 5 hours in and hating it.

Well give it 20 more hours and see how you feel.

The game's asking you about the real life toy. It's essentially asking if you're familiar with raising digimon.

If you don't have a digivice, you're unfamiliar with raising digimon, so the game makes it easier on you.

I would but I have to short an attention span.

And NO that I think is supposed to be a sequel to DW1 is coming out this month. Fuck.

My digiman always turn to shit, literally.

No. I refuse to fall for the it gets better meme.
The gameplay is generic jrpg #7251, the story is meh, and the side missions are as boring as it gets.

It's like playing DW3, but without the exploring and card game.

Literally not worth the effort to beat it. So much random bullshit determines if you succeed or not. It's just not fun.
The atmosphere's nice though.

Play the translated version on psp and eventually 3ds.
It's essentially a remake fo the first game and isn't terrible, different though.
Or load up the original on emulator.

Yet it's way better than Pokemon Sun/Moon anyway.

there's too much grinding to be done on such a boring battle system, unless I'm missing something and it's actually super deep and fun

the xbox huge feel due to being a vita port doesn't help either and I already forgot what the story was about

Don't let it shit itself on the ground. Not even once.

Don't bother fighting it for the first few days. Focus on training it as much as possible. And don't train him equally, the best digimon are those with a single high stat over the others.

But also, don't forget to make him fight a couple easy battles after the second day of training at the gym. The best digimon appear if they had a lot of battles.

>too much grinding
Were you using Platinumsukamon and Tactician USBs? That cuts the grinding by a factor of 10.

because you're kind of fucking boring

So? I can't think of a worse jrpg than pokemon.

I never understood this bug, I'm British and I completed my game multiple times when I was back in high school with no game breaking glitches in sight.
The way people talk about it here you'd think you'd get it 100% of the time.

it affected all pal versions of the game except the english ones (uk/aus)

The fact that everyone tells me this is kind of off-putting and it makes me not want to play it even more

Well i'm glad I finally got to the bottom of this one, thanks for the response.

this game was fucking boring, no charm, mind numbing combat, boring ass story.

You must really like grinding.

Yet the storyline is still better then the Pokemon ones that copypaste the same plot and set pieces in each fucking game.

That's not an achievement.
