NPCs who help you solo in multy steat vehicles
A few longer missions instead of the same short missions a lot of times

farming armor means there's no upper cap on your health which lets them make more insanely difficult levels, IA was piss easy because the missions were designed around you having a set amount of armor instead of being a clusterfuck that they probably dont even expect you to beat.
IA barely had vehicles at all, though it would be a good option for air raiders.
4.1 has way more mission variety and more missions. it has long ones, long travel times, underground, set up time, multiple wave, all at once. theres a ton of variation in length and style
4.1 is the best of almost every world, IA was the worst EDF by far
