I worked on Breath of the Wild, AMA thread #4

Here to answer questions.

To recap, I'm only able to do this because I can't be decisively linked to EAD Team, Monolith Soft, Nintendo Treehouse, or HALS Laboratory. So do not ask me to compromise my identity. I will not dignify shitposters beyond this point any further.

Want a reply? Ask about game. No game, no reply. Simple.

Favorite part of the game?

Name something that would prove you worked on the game without compromising your identity then

ITT bored, lying weeb with no friends, family or gf wants to kill 20 minutes

>HALS LABORATORY
>HALS

How long have you been full of shit?

is female link in the game?

Nice try, Mrs. Rapp.

What is your social security number? You said ask me ANYTHING

How long do you estimate it would take to 100% the game?

What did you work on?

Tell us something obscure that hasn't been revealed yet.

What's the most fun you had with a bomb?

Now we're talking. There's this part in the game where a volcano erupts and you have to shield surf down a trench while dodging lava spews left and right. Well as you're careening down this steep slope, you enter a tunnel, that swerves upright again to a level angle and suddenly hear a stock crumbling sound. You see through the vantage point that you're falling quickly and have to jump out before you go down with the chasm of rock. Once you're outside, and you open the glider, the camera stabalizes showing the entire world (figuratively), because you're still really high up.

You'll find out why they were working on it towards the end.

I've said it before. About 400 hours altogether. I can't tell you what I worked on. Define obscure.

In some high places you run into a catch-22, because you can tell there are some places where you obviously have to bomb, but the higher you go, the strong the wind. I suppose trying to figure out what bomb works best in those situations is the most fun out of bombs.

>Define obscure.

Just some little minor part of the game that's unlikely to be revealed prior to launch, but will be memorable enough that when I get to it I'll think "hey, that guy on Sup Forums wasn't full of shit."

Is it feasible to play through the entire game without touching the crafting side of things? I'm not really into hunting down materials for food and armor ect.

>HALS Laboratory
fucking lol, nice try though
kill yourself retard

There is a 0% chance this game will take 400 hours to fully complete no matter how you define it.

xcx took me about 300 hours to complete so there's a chance this game will be that long too

When has Nintendo ever designed a game that takes remotely that look to complete? That's more time than it would take to beat every Zelda game ever released combined.

>370 hours of tutorials

It's hard to think of those things without spoiling the timeline placement when you know most of the game, and can't be certain what the marketing division will or won't put out.

I suppose without any explicit spoilers I can tell you, that while the Master Sword you see in the trailer and logo is the real one, it's not more relevant to the story than what you've already seen. I.e. I am telling you right now, you do not temper the Master Sword anew the way people are theorizing. The rustic state is merely a reference to other Zeldas. Take that as you will.

It is. The crafting system is unintrusive much like Skyward Sword's. It's basically, a way to keep the game difficult while making it manageable for new players to truck through by spamming food. Don't pay it too much mind if you're not the foraging type.

are you thinking of just the story? because it took me over 300 hours to 100% the map in xcx which is made by monolith soft who are also working on this game. i don't believe the OP but it's not completely out of the realm of imagination

>400 hours

ya blew it.

will there be a playable female link in the game

OP here. I'll come back in an hour if there's any questions here and the thread is still up. If not I'll respond to them next time.

kill yourself retarded faggot

No you dumbass, it's HAL laboratory. "HAL". Not "HALS".

Can you play as a girl?
Do non-Zelda amiibo do anything?

>the higher you go, the strong the wind
does the wind douse the fuse or something?

bump

alright fellas we know where this thread is gonna go anyways

Have you posted your proof that you work for BotW? If not, do it.
