Division was shit, R6 is amazing, I give it a 50/50 chance
Division got a bit better with the newer updates.
It's still a bullet sponge grindfest though.
Both are good
I have hopes for both Wildlands and For Honor
It seems Ubisoft was the good guy all along
>ubisoft open world
into the trash
Financially? Nah dude, leave it to the retards who keep falling for Ubi's new IPs.
But otherwise, yeah it'll be boring as fuck, just another Division but with an even bigger shitty open world and vehicles. Real GOTY material right there.
Why so quick to judge? Ubisoft's done great Open World games before... Granted, some are shitty like the new AC.
R6 is phenomenal
I a m having a blast with the division. Been playing that for a while now. If it's a more open world than division it should be legit. Obviously there will be a fuck load of open nothing but someone did a YouTube video comparing the map and it's approx 252 km2
I think it might be fun with coop, even though it'll probably be pretty shallow. I don't really think about it enough to be excited or optimistic though. It's just another ubi open world game.
>1000 Uplay Units™ have been deposited into your account™
damn I can't believe they even trademarked the word "account"
I have high hopes for this one, already preordered it.
Same.
While it looks fun, I really miss the GRAW style. I likes the military focus more and you could do some really cool shit.
I hope so. The sooner Ubi dies the better.
Looks good desu, I just hope it isn't another tower capture simulator and that there are a varied amount of missions.
>generic modern military third person tactical american army is the best army in the world shooter in the evil middle east #982349273
How is anyone excited about this? I'm not trying to be a cunt, I'm genuinely curious.
They're basically selling it as Just Cause but with MGSV's gameplay with 4 player coop.
well, let's look at the last games ubisoft paris developed
>just dance 2017
>just dance 2016
>just dance 2015
>assassin's creed: pirates (the mobile game)
>just dance 2014
>rabbids land
>just dance 4
>ghost recon future soldier
this does not leave me with much hope
Name one other game like this that came out in the last couple of years.
I hope it doesn't have fucking crafting, but knowing Ubisoft they'll somehow manage sneak in some shitty "collect 500 cocaine to craft a max health upgrade" system
I can't imagine it not having crafting, though since they're going for a GTA-esque sort of thing here I expect it'll be more along the lines of earning xp/money from jobs and spending that.
MGSV. Wow that was easy.
That'd be better... I'd imagine you get a lot of weapons from the rebels, convoys.... The military...
Is MGS V a squad based TPS?
It is Ghost Recon but in an open world. Ghost Recon has been around for 18 years.
If it's anything like the anal wart Called the division it will flop hard.
Now if MGSV had multiplayer, you may have half of a point there, buckaroo.
In one of the game previews where the players used a helicopter to parachute into the compound they said that the helicopter has to be stolen beforehand from a military base. I'm hoping they'll have some sort of decent persistent equipment system, since the whole sell of the game is "you're a super well trained commando that gets dropped into hostile territory with barely a shirt on your back and you need to OSP everything like Solid fucking Snake".
They also developed the other Ghost Recons and Watch Dogs
If I can play it with my friends then maybe it will be good enough.
AAA can't really flop, they still make their money back hand over fist due to the droves of retard consumers. Still, trusting Ubisoft after 2014 is pretty retarded. Can't wait for the comparison videos between the first trailers and the actual game.
Arma 3 for children
You mean The Divison which is the top 10 best selling games this year?
How is this like ARMA 3 at all.
>Sup Forums doesn't like a game
>it's a flop
Doesn't matter if it stayed in the top sellers lists most of the year, it's a flop.
>I give it a 50/50 chance
Ubisoft has made more than two games, you know.
OP, if you enjoy it, and find it fun... It isn't a flop.
Looks like you now own Ubisoft 1000 Uplay Pointz.
More like Arma is Wildlands for autists
When I played it, the gun fights were fun because of random events that would break them up.
>if MGSV had multiplayer
What?
What does it matter how long it has been around? My point is, it is generic and nothing new or insteresting. Just like any CoD game between 2, 4 and the last one. Or any football game. Or racing game. You played one, you played them all. I've seen that demo they had for this, it looks incredibly generic.
You played Wildlands?
They had playable demos at conventions I think.
What is Metal Gear Online.
I hope there is an option to turn all the markers off.
this game actually reminds me a lot of GTA Online heists
so depends on the playerbase
It can be played with AI as well.
it can? thank god for that
They confirmed it a while ago.
I just hope that the highest difficulty is kinda realistic
hate the whole "fly my drone for 2 secs and mark the whole camp" shit
yes : generic story, generic gameplay, generic AI, generic graphics.
That is why I hope you can turn markers and target marking off so that you have to use your senses move tactically.
El Pozolaro is supposed to be autistic or something..
I really want it to be good if that counts OP.
I don't understand why people want games to fail
*on a side note I hope every game by gearbox just fucking flops so they disappear
There are supplies that you "tag" for the local militia. To unlock upgrades some require certain amounts of food, ammo or intel. Its not really crafting but similar to what you said.
>I don't understand why people want games to fail
Because the fags that do that are no life shitters who want ever game to fail so they have something new to shitpost about to fill their empty days.
They had a closed beta. Played a shit ton of it then.
My favorite part was getting intel for weapons and attachments.
Think about buying it, want a single player tacticool game again
They ai squad you get is pretty annoying. Id usually tell them to fuck off outside of bases so I could stralth in.
Division was terrible
R6 Siege was really good
Watch Underscore Dogs was ok.
Is Ubi back?
Can you turn makers off? I don't like things to be marked all of the time telling me where everything is. It takes away the surprise element and makes things too easy.
>game releases
>1 month later
>US Military Contract DLC, get 15 of every gun available to the US marines and 10 of each vehicle for only $14.99 !
>Contraband Run DLC, get a selection of guns commonly purchased by revolutionary forces and cartels worldwide and a grouping of modified assault vehicles only $9.99 !
Then later on they add "Supply Drops"
>military drops you a supply crate from the air
>oops lol u gotta buy the key online in the online store for $3.99 per key lol too bad XD
I wish this wasn't acceptable to 75% of people playing video games
Im not actually sure. The game was very buggy when I played and I dont think there were a lot of game options outside of video settings. The marking aspect is pretty big part of the game though. Drone out areas is what a lot of the game revolves around. But you dont have to. There are some areas with jammers so you cant drone.
What was in the beta? Just the mission with the soup guy? How did you find the game?
To add to this, on your mini map, areas are shadded red based on enemy density. So even with markers off, youll know where they are.
>the middle east
It's in Bolivia
I hope not, I actually want to play this.I hope R6:S and Division rubs off on it.
It was 3 large sections of the map and there entire stories. I got a key from a friend, ubi gives you 3 friend keys for their beta tests.
What were your impressions? Does it play like an open-world MGSV?
>implying hordes of Americans won't rush out to buy a game about gunning down Mexicans in increasingly brutal ways as fast as they can
Doubtful.
I'm more interested in For Honor desu.
We will have to wait and see I guess.
I don't mind using a drone, I just don't want everything on the map marked so I know where everything is all of the time. It ruins it if you know exactly where everyone is.
Hopefully you can disable this or there are options for what is shown on the map.
I don' t mind knowing if an area has enemy presence though, just as long as it doesn't show me where each of them are.
>American army is the best army in the world shooter
But that's true.
>middle east
But it takes place in South America.
How's character customization?
>for honor looks promising
they are on the right way
>ubisoft's done great open world games before
They're literally all the same, just either in third-person or first person. They all involve areas revealed by climbing some sort of tower, whether it's in AC or Far Cry. Then there's a bunch of icons on your map that disappear when you perform an activity or collect something. Ubisoft applies this formula to whatever open world franchise they're making. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that the engines for all of them are the same, just with different assets pasted in.
Jump out your highest window head first
FS looked pretty generic but when you got into it it was pretty fun to play, spacially the MP with shit like the tazer. it held a strong resemblance to SC convintion though and this looks like it holds a strong resemblance to more modern ubi games. it seems like ubi makes their games based on the formula of what's popular at the time of the games release.
It was pretty cool. It was slacking for models and such but the gear and camo options were huge. I imagine they will expand on it, since there were so little character options.
It does, gameplay wise from what my friend says. Ive never played MGSV so I cant say too much.
There arent any real conver mechanics, your character just moves up or down more while behind walls.
All enemies are 1 hit kills but later youll need to headshot them. If they are aware of you then youll have a tough time aswell.
Sounds so fucking boring raiding drug cartels yawn game is pure concentrated liquid garbo
>Ghost Recon Future Soldier
still haven't forgiven them for botching the game that hard.
t. Kid who thinks playing ARMA makes him a cool older person
You're just as bad as the kids who think playing Modern Warfare makes them cool, and you're the exact kind of cancer killing military shooters.
Ebic
it wasn't a good GR game but at least it was at least a decent third person shooter.
How is the open world itself? Is it just a bunch of outposts with guards on fixed patrol paths that you need to attack or is there stuff like convoys, HVTs moving around, ambushes? There's a friendly faction in the game, do they organically fight the cartel? What about the civilian population, do they do anything?
Somewhat this.
I'm glad that it's moved away from the "THE WORLD IS AT STAKE, OH MUH GAWRD" bullshit that all Tom Clancy games have become, what with Blacklist, Conviction, The Division, and Future Soldier, and it's moved to a smaller, more isolated locale. Makes the world feel larger, thematically, like you're actually performing classified military actions in the midst of greater things happening.
>other Ghost Recons
All series aside first one and maybe Onlinewas pretty meh.
GRAW 1 and 2 on PC are good.
How does Tom Clancy have time to do anything?!?!?
He's dead Jim
He's dead
He doesn't, he's dead.
he's dead.
His lifeforce which kept him in our mortal plane expired in a time before this present moment
He is not alive
Open world is nice and if the map I was looking at stays the same, its pretty huge. Driving however is straight cancer and if you drive on dirt roads during rain your gonna slip around a lot. And forget driving offroad, there are a ton of runs and dips. Youll get stuck easy.
There are full towns with sections that have fixed patrols and outposts but convoys are completly random and sometimes drive between diffrent regions. Once had to chance down a convoy while i was out doing other things because I had a chance encounter. No ambuses though.
There are 3 factions, militia, cartel and unidad (police). Police are a pain in the ass to deal with and are usually your enemy but they fuck off most of the time. You just have to make sure they arent around when you start shooting. The militia are pretty low population and just do there own thing. You can get upgrades to make them more helpful for you and if you free them from prisons in the bases they run out and start helping you. Civilians run away and you get in trouble for killing too many of them.
When was this closed test?
...
>pretending to be retardrd
