i think thats what I liked about that game, because the nazis = bad is such an obvious plot point it gave ID a blank slate to work with when building a universe around it. they can make a clean, efficient future for earth but its still awful because its ran by them damn krauts. it also invoked uncomfortable feelings to me, as a player, because this horrible political group managed to build a better future then our current one.
