Would Valve do all the multi-million worth marketing work? Would it do the physical distribution publishing job? Would it support the game in various other ways like Sony is currently doing?
No, Valve doesn't do shit for anyone, thus you only get multiplats and no AAA's whatsoever that aren't console ports. That's not even taking into account that the PC market is way too small to support exclusive AAA's and has been for more than a decade now. Don't get me wrong, the market is big, but that's the facebook games, early access survival meme, MOBA, nu-Blizzard card games, CS:GO keys market - not an "ACTUAL games" market, which is probably 15-20million strong on PC.

PC has no publisher/platform holder like the big 3 outside of it. No deals can be made in the first place. That's why there aren't PC AAA games. Which is why I didn't get OP's sadness, he seems very naive.
