Planet Robobot sold well enough and Hal was set on doing a 2nd Wii U Kirby game but that project was moved to the Switch.
Sora shut down it's dev unit after KI:U and Smash 4 was done by BandaiNamco.

Sakurai is an independent developer, he could be working with literally any other development team even if he doesn't have his own. He could be working on Armored Core with From Software, for instance.
