So my school did a roundup of suspicious people and one of the was ME! A GAMER! I have absolutely no reason to be treated like this, vidya for this feel?

This chart seems to factor out a lot of other expenses

And I doubt all of those copies sold were at $60. You'd have to factor in discounts and euro currency conversions

You can sue the school for singling you out like that.

>This chart seems to factor out a lot of other expenses
like what? seems like a pretty lenient estimate to me (most devs dont even get paid 100k)

insurance for one.

what do game developers need insurance for?

Suspicious in what way?

Will schools now see outcasts as potential school shooters?

Being an introvert will suck ass
Atleast real introverts and not "im an introvert XDDD"

for example, it lists the publisher's cut as Hello Games' revenue, severely inflating the profit off steam's sales (a majority of which were not even sold at full price in the first place, a good number of which were also refunded).

Also,
>vgchartz
>Steamspy

it should say 'developers cut' because steam takes 30%, it's a typo

Look I don't really know. Your salary estimate might cover all of these anyway and by looking at their liabilities I'm probably wrong about their interest expense

Worker's compensation
Depreciation on equipment
Insurance
Registrations
Accounting fees
Utilities
Internet
Any applicable local taxes
Marketing. Now this one is the most interesting because I don't know what sort of deal went down here.
Their website

I don't doubt murray walked away with tens of millions though but I am curious how he got so much equity in the first place since the total equity at 2014 was over a million pounds so that's probably another loan he'll have to pay back to someone

Murrica

Shoot up your school, that'll teach em

Medical insurance you bloody nigger. It is mandatory for the employer to cover that.

It's actually over 50% for new publishers on steam. It's the reason why a lot of japanese indie companies into the system by porting old games and giving them for free on steam so valve doesn't buttfuck them with their sales cut on full priced titles.

>Worker's compensation, Insurance
Irrelevant for small 14 man studio or covered by the inflated salary figure
>Depreciation on equipment
Irrelevant for game dev
>Registrations, Accounting fees, Utilities, Internet, Any applicable local taxes
Covered by 'other costs'. This is a 14 man company running out of a tiny building. Fees, taxes and utilities are almost irrelevant
>Marketing
Covered by sony
>Their website
Costs like 100 bucks a year at most

>someone was autistic enough to make this. thanks for the laugh, op

>Steamspy
Steamspy is atleast more reliable than vgchartz since it combs through users steam libraries. Vgchartz does not count digital sales so its very inaccurate for consoles and especially PC.

Even if you took 50% out, it's still quite a bit money for nothing but lies for such a small company.

Not having it broken out makes it absolutely irrelevant to talk about. Unless we have the books it's total hearsay and not worth discussing.

Steamspy is reliable, multiple devs/pubs have asked them to take the info down

Depreciation is mostly irrelevant because virtually all if them lease their equipment

800k sold and it was the top seller on steam?
wew
and you wonder why devs dont care about PC

Did you spot the signs, user

>American """education"""

It's a difference a few hundred thousand in fourty million. The figures that matter are the amount of employees, the development time, the amount of sales on what platforms which are all there. 80% of a game development studios costs are in employee salaries
