story mode is absolute garbage. Multiplayer looks pretty fun but I never got to play it.

First one is 10/10. I remember co-op'ing the entire game with my friend.

I can't even remember five minutes from 2 since I hated it so much.

I played it expecting Sleeping Dogs. It ended up being one of the absolute worst games that I have ever played.

Simple controls, yet every single thing is wrong. There were over half a dozen glitches on the first level alone.

He is not wrong. The first one was a solid 5/10.
While other B games like mad world/vanquish use something in there gameplay or art to charm you this game had none of it. The worst sin being you play as kane while lynch is the one who schizo is only able to be seen in co op.

The heist/betray mechanic was pretty fun though and was able to pull of a robber game far better then pay day ever has.

No. While the first one was fun this one is just bad. You only get to play as Lynch in the SP, and the game looks shit, plays shit, story is dumb as fuck and makes no sense.

Ah fuck off when I was playing they were only defending their leader boards so two guys would group up the one who was grinding would collect the bags while his buddy would insta kill you and if you preemptive kill the player killer the guy who was grinding then would kill you because you had a red card and you were a free kill
Then you had people who would idle in lobby to deny games being started and you couldn't find other games because it would always place you in the lobby with the guy idling

the multiplayer was a mess

It's an acquired taste, plebs won't get it. I prefer the first game for the cinema feel and soundtrack but this one is ok for what it tried to do.

fuck me. i liked it, the camera was something new and kinda fun for a 4 hour game, and story was not so bad either. but if it will be an 8 hour game or longer i would kill myself

It's the best video game movie that will never be. It's far from perfect, but I enjoyed cooping through with a friend for a couple bucks.
I don't know if I would still like it as much today, but I had a blast couple years ago.

Multiplayer maps are cool to play through each map once, but they are always the exact same and part of the fun was supposed to be people fucking over each other, but obviously nobody is playing it anymore. Still they are well made and you can play through them by yourself.

it's probably one of the most "artistic" vidya experiences out there. Not for everyone of course, the gameplay is boring and repetitive, but if you are a fag who loves hong kong cinema, Cassavetes, Kar Way Wong and maybe a bit of Godard you will like it. You will also look like a pretentious guy but who the fuck cares? I love it

I thought the campaign in KL2 was actually really cool. Amazing visual style and crunchy gameplay. Super short though.

I've played through it twice in coop with some friends, it's fun but short. The atmosphere of the game is pretty good despite it's lackluster story.

It's fucking great. Most people hate it.

I finished this. It's not good, just alright. The earlier levels really shine and at some point you just hit boring gayness and might aswell quit.

campaign is pretty good if you know exactly what to expect, worth the 5 dollars i paid for it. super unique, the guys in this thread comparing it to movies are spot-on

There's a review I forgot where that talks about how this game is an underrated masterpiece. While I don't agree with him completely, this is probably the best cinematic game I've played in the sense of being "cinematic".

The game is pure chaos. I know that some if not most people hate the style, but that's the point. The game is nauseating, with plot that not only chaotic but also goes balls to the walls crazy and characters that really fits with the whole fuckedupness it haf, and that's why it's great. The fact that it set in Shanghai slums and with the snuff film feels to it makes it a really immersive experience, and sometimes it felt really real. Not many games or even other able to do this, and KL2 did it flawlessly.

Granted, it's very flawed. The gameplay is merely okay and it's short. There's multiplayer which is fun for couple match. I would say get it since it's cheap because some games are just worth it because it's just unique.

People say this, but it's a lie, the first parts are kinda chaotic with civilians running around during the firefights but later on you're just shooting random chinese army guys in grey/brown environments and you might as well be playing any other generic tps.
