It's Current Year. Do you still own a Tube TV?
It's Current Year. Do you still own a Tube TV?
Yes
>Zelda 2
I have two. One has a built-in DVD player, but it's quite small.
No, I got rid of my last CRT a few years ago. I kind of regret it sometimes but it was just too cumbersome.
At least with my 4k screen I can get pretty convincing CRT shaders, although the luminosity and black levels are still not up to par.
I think newer LCDs and OLED displays will (finally) catch up and go beyond what CRTs could do. Modern high end monitors have better resolution, colors and contrast than the best CRTs. Unfortunately I currently have a pretty low end 4k TN monitor that could blind me even displaying full black. Oh well.
Got a 14 inch CRT last week.
Yup.
And I'm keeping it and my oldass 1st gen 720p flat TV for the older systens
It's a bit dusty, but yes, I do.
Ive got one remaining but its sort of big.
I would like to get a small one like OP
oh hey it's my setup again
recently got a flash cart for it, is pretty nice
i'm still waiting for a sony bvm/pvm to pop up locally.
I couldn't stand the flicker any more.
I do, wish I had something smaller and more portable like the one in the OP though
...
Without Zelda II we wouldn't have games like Faxanadu, & Faxanadu was AWESOME to the MAX.
How's the lag on a 4K screen?
>playing through the original translation
>Know for being the worst Japanese to english translation ever
>Even when there is a fan hack out you could be playing with a flashcard
You don't deserve breath of fire 2.
It's a good picture. I kind of like the older monitors that have the plastic shield over the screen.
You're never going to have one with that attitude. They're not getting any cheaper.
I've never heard someone list this as a problem. Was it about to die?
>It's a good picture. I kind of like the older monitors that have the plastic shield over the screen.
kinda difficult to find TVs like that still, since they don't use plastic. it's a sheet of glass
can get pretty glare-y if you have strong lights on
Thank you for reminding me, bitch.
Well the advantage of the TN panel is that it's got a pretty high refresh rate (1ms) so it remains sharp even while moving fast.
Other than that I never noticed any latency issues but admittedly I'm not super sensitive to lag, mainly because I don't really play games that require very quick reactions like fighters. That being said I play a few FPS casually and it feels just fine.
>Even when there is a fan hack out you could be playing with a flashcard
Meh. I don't have a flash cart. I'll get around to buying one someday when it has 100% compatibility.
>normie
Please get the fuck out, normalfag.
I remember back in 2010 my lcd screen got broken so i borrowed a tube screen and played fallout 3 on that. it was amazing
Still have a Sanyo from 1998. Though the picture was going out about a year ago but it seemed to fix itself and still works like new
no ;_;
YOU STILL DON'T OWN A SEGA CD?
Mine is still here, and i still use it as my only tv watching netflix from the wii
>Do you still own a Tube TV?
Yes, I don't use it though, my HDTV has far superior IQ.
It's somewhere in my garage i'm pretty sure. Still works fine. The only thing i'm missing is a working VHS player.
