I'm planning to buy one of the PS3 Souls, but I know both games have some cons and pros, so I'm asking for input about which one is better for these days. (IV is a bit cheaper anyways)
Soul Calibur IV vs V
V is better in literally every single way except arguably the singleplayer offerings, though both are shit in that regard.
get 5.
also consider 2HD on PSN
also get tekken tag 2
Is Soul Calibur dead?
4 has a better roster
you could also argue the loss of the old cast as a negative but since it might be OPs first dip in soul caliber its probably not a concern ,unless he had a preferred cast
i remember the single player in V being so fucking bad
>I MUST KILL MY SISTER
>FUCK. NOW I FEEL BAD.
>LET'S SAVE HER!
V, IV is trash
New game this year after tekken. I know >random guy online but I actually compete and travel for the game, and they have community managers etc that come to us for certain aspects and opinions. We were told a trailer was slated for the next calibur installment after "tekken 7s ad campaign had run its course".
Also get 5. Its just the better game and you can actually find people to play with. Come over to 8wayrun.com and we'll play anytime.
Was Darth Vader OP?
Low tier as hell, but fun.
OP here, I'm going for V, thanks.
Last SC I played was II, but I wanted more fightan for PS3.
I already have TTT2, and I heard 2HD was pretty bad, so I'm going to stick with the PS2 one.
Fuck off Jaxel
V is garbage. Bamco tried to make the series mainstream by forcing in super meters and replacing the iconic cast with a bunch of copy/paste anime teenagers and a cringey incest plotline.
It failed horribly, as it rightly should have.
V>IV
Nah just kidding. Fuck every single thing about V except the customization.
how do i get good at Soul Calibur
Spacing
Decent execution
Knowing when to punish
Pick Mitsurugi.
4 is better roster wise, and single player wise, 5 is less dead online, and has a better CaS
If you want the best possible roster and largest arrangement of moves per character, buy Soul Calibur 4.
If you want the superior game all-around, Buy a PSN card at your local retailer (or use your bank card) and buy the PSN online re-release of Soul Calibur 2.
If you just like custom characters and are not really concerned about the gameplay in general, buy SC5
That's my dilemma with both games, or the better Single Player, or better CaS.
I'm actually not interested on IIHD, I already played vanilla years ago, but thanks anyway.
