Was DLC a mistake?

Was DLC a mistake?

yes

It could've been cool. But companies relied too heavily on it.

That's not what combined means.

>FFXIII
>almost 50 hours for the main story

wut? it was 30, 35 tops. the main story wasnt long at all.

>level 01

wow user, you have my respect.

X-III is shorter than xv

Besides that dlc is a mistake unless it's free

How do you even do that?

>non existent game is shorter than a real game
Wow

>Played 12 for 330 hours on my first playthrough
>Didn't even finish it

People really like to rush games.

This doesn't reflect DLC though.

You do realize the game's easy right?

or did XV-kun fed you lies?

Bullshit FF 12 took me 220 hours to complete everything

I refuse to believe FF13 takes that long to finish .

Most of the playtime is just cut scenes

Final Fantasy ended with X. XI was a nice online continuation of the series.

XII was trash.
XIII was trash.
XIV is a WoW clone.
XV is dogshit.

here's my strat guide if you guys want to do your own runs
>play on normal mode because you aren't a cheat
>obviously equip nixperience band at boot up to not gain levels. Leave it on, no time to try and cheat the system by equipping it only before resting
>pump strength only on noctis. HP/defense doesn't matter because you shouldn't get hit and potions are cheap
>for fights: hold square, not circle. You'll dodge almost everything, while baiting counters/linkstrikes and filling the armiger bar
>use armiger whenever you can
>kill with warp strikes for AP when you can
>if you're in a really hard fight and there's a point warp spot, point warp, warp strike, repeat forever (since point warp refills MP)
>the only AP abilities you need are the two cheap ones that reduce phase cost, the one that makes armiger last longer, dodge in the air, and if you want the warp strike damage ones and a 2nd accessory slot for more strength
>sell everything you aren't using to buy 5-10 phoenix downs and 99 potions early
win the game

I'm not even past chapter 9 and I've already killed adamatoise and am close to level 90 and already raided the bases and collected all optional royal arms and finished the dungeons. All I have left to do is skill up fishing and cooking

>being this retarded

>its that fucking easy
>people bought this game
>people defended this game
>people doxxed shitposters for this game
>people died for this game

2016 was truly the year of blunders

There is no way someone completed ff12 that quickly on their first run through

DLC can and has done some great things, but it has become a monster. I never would have imagined pre-orders for a "season pass" going up before the base game is released would become a thing. It makes no sense to me on any level.

Hey! You know this game you haven't even played yet? Why not pay %50 more for content you wont get for another year? I'm sure you'll love the game, and you'll definitely still be interested by the time the pass pays off!

I just didn't realize there was an item that stopped you from gaining experience.

Nigger.

>I never would have imagined pre-orders for a "season pass" going up before the base game is released would become a thing. It makes no sense to me on any level.

It can work, but my bigger problem is when season pass don't list SPECIFICALLY what you're going to get if you buy them. Witcher 3 is probably one of the more recent examples where they outright what you're getting and general timeframe when.

>2016 was truly the year of blunders

almost all jrpgs (if not all games) are clocked at being between 1/3rd-1/2 longer than they actually are on that website

NMS
FFXV
Deus Ex MD in terms of sales
Watch_Dogs 2
Mafia 3
Dead Rising 4
Xbox exclusives nuked
Gears 4
Mighty No.9
Battleborn
Duke Nukem World Tour
The Last Guardian
Dark souls 3 DLC

There's more but this is off the top of my head, feel free to add more

X-III really doesn't exist

It's not even the DLC. The game is just plain unfinished. A lot of the time you'll get DLC which will be fun mechanics that obviously should have been in but were cut out. But in this case it's just straight up missing half the fucking story. You can tell after reading the strategy guide (because now important plot details are in the FUCKING STRATEGY GUIDE) that there was some genuine FF-tier story that could have been used. But none of it was ever touched and we were left with the shallowest look at its world.

It's really a fucking shame, I knew SE was incompetent but this is beyond the fucking pale.
