The vitriol towards PC players didn't just spring up out of the blue. There was a period in Sup Forums's history in which discussion of any console or any console exclusive title was absolutely shut down by the PC use rbase coming in and touting how their platform is so much better and how it does everything the best and has the most games and so on and so forth.

It takes two to tango though and it spawned a culture of PC players hating console players. Hell Sony and Nintendo fans used to be bro as fuck and allied against the PC user base.
