Why does The Last of Us get so much praise?
Honestly, the game lost me when they started bringing ghosts into the mix.
I mean yeah, it's pretty. But ghosts? That's a little too much for me, especially in an otherwise realistic setting.
Are there any other games that ruin themselves with stupid shit like this?

No, I'd say you have it backwards. Dinosaurs at least existed at one point. I can buy dinosaurs if someone had been keeping a dinosaur in their basement or a bunker, passing it down each generation to be fed and looked after like a family pet. It was a missed opportunity not having infected dinosaurs. A shame we didn't get a T-Rex or something actually cool instead of those faggy little velociraptors. Zombie dinosaurs are still cool though. Ghosts are fucking stupid no matter how you slice it.

Yeah but if you play your cards right you make it back to earth with a plasma rifle, it's pretty fucking OP, and lasts forever. Really helps in the samsquanch fight desu.

See, the aliens were fine because the spaceship that we later find out brought the fungus virus to earth was crashed and decaying. It fits the aesthetic and makes sense
