Why do you have so shit taste?

because everyone on this board either listens to dad rock, bad metal, or autistic neo-80s chillwave shit. what do you expect?

I have no problem with generic metal or electronic music but this is fucking garbage, a bad mix of both with no taste or rythm whatsoever.

It's well produced industrial metal that fits the game very well imo but it only works as game music, the only original track that has a memorable melody and can really stand on it's own is bfg division
also the game itself is a pile of garbage

I like D1/D2 way more when i say this btw but i fucking love D44M overall but the music is its weakest fucking area easily. Even weaker then its level design of being some rooms/hallway into a lock in arena battle.

There are like 3 good songs max. Half of it straight out wub trash.

(you)

Here, I gave you an extra one.

it definitely has rhythm, are you an actual musician or just a music listener? either way you're right about the ost being bad, but it definitely has rhythm. the problem is it does djent drumming in a really weird way, and it just doesnt sound good at all.

Because the music is adaptive to the action on screen and is twenty times better when you're playing.

You're not listening to a midi on its own too are you...?

>also the game itself is a pile of garbage

Says you.

Hatred of nuDoom is pure Sup Forums contrarianism.

This game will be considered a 10/10 timeless classic later this year or early next, once the hype has completely died down.

its not really industrial metal, its like weird djent dubstep, industrial metal is extremely bad anyways.

Because people have different opinion that you automatically classify as shit, you experienced it on the first fucking post of your shit thread when this guy talked trash about genres that you like/don't mind and you didn't go ape shit like the retarded child you prove yourself to be in the OP.

You don't know what industrial metal is homie. Whatever this music is, it doesn't fit into a genre as well established as that. Otherwise, I agree, the soundtrack did its job hyping me during some of the bigger fights, though I have to admit for a lot of the game I wasn't really paying much attention to it. Outside of actually playing the game, it is directionless, chaotic garbage with like two actual fun riffs that just repeat the whole game.

the game was great

hmmmm chillwave liker detected.

and me

Wouldn't Tool fit under the umbrella of "industrial metal"? are you saying Tool is bad user?

>Ha! I called you a name and thusly have destroyed your entire argument!

Good job, kiddo. Would you like your cookie now, or after your nap?

why didn't you like it buddy? I thought it was very very fun. People even set me up to hate the upgrade system which ended up barely being that big of a chore. I thought it was one of the best shooters of the past 5 years.

It sounds like Klayton took a shit on his computer.

>Tool
>industrial metal
Fucking retard.

It's inferior to its 20 year old predecessor which is embarrassing. pic related has more enemies in 1 room than all levels of D44M combined

>it's inferior

Says you.

why do virgins talk like this?

thats because OG doom was inspired and stole from the best rock and metal of EVER

yeah I guess so. Had a friend call them that once, guess I don't really know what industrial metal is either.

Like wasn't spoken like a virgin?

Christ, it's amusing how you kids can't come up with legitimate arguments and just sling insults like "virgin" as if that's enough to detract somebody's point.

yes, and since i would be the one deciding on whether or not D44M is worth money for me, my word is final

shocking, isn't it?

Bet you think munchie boxes are 3 star Michelin meals.

no it won't.
kids and such aren't playing nuoom or, like my 9 yr old cousin says, "its too hard" and doesn't even try to finish it.

it would have had to be the FIRST fps they play or the first GOOD fps ever (like doom was)

>keep hearing people say "OMG NEW DOOM IS A RETURN OLD SCHOOL SHOOTER ROOTS"
>play the game
>Barely anything similar to old school shooters

I mean it was okay but people saying it holds a candle to old school shooters have never played those games.

Alright. I can understand those arguments considering I never played the originals. I think it's a great game on its own merits though, and it gets plenty hectic and challenging without a comparable enemy count.

tool isnt industrial metal but its extremely bad. the drummer is good but the music in general is kinda shitty.

Still wrong, but hey, whatever bub.

the fuck does a tire company have to do with food?

If you can listen to BFG Division and Rip & Tear and still hold that opinion, I'm almost sure you have a vagina between your legs.

On that note it's definitely good, just not your taste. Get that concept through your special little head, it applies to a lot of things. It's a shame for you, lots of people can have an amazing experience with the soundtrack but you won't.

Music is subjective you fuckwit.
Just like anything out there is subjective. Some people love it, some people hate it.
Also, the music probably sounds great in game when you're running around shooting shit and trying to stay alive.
Listen to it without gunshots and explosions and it probably does sound like ass.

>pic related
>it's not related

That's not Doom 1

>There are people who think this game has a bad OST

youtube.com/watch?v=LBVf44urehA

Except it does play like the older games. The only thing that's a modern mechanic is the upgrade system.

wow so you're a virgin but you're older than a kid? maybe you should log off lol.

It's not the most awful thing ever. It mostly sounds like Pendulum, Skrillex, and Meshuggah fucked while playing original Doom.

Disagree man. What bands do you like

Sounded properly violent and aggressive, I had no problem with any of the music in the game.
Not something I'd listen to outside of the game though, then again that's every video game ost ever made.

how come only teenage porn addicts and libertarian dads who call into to local radio stations to yell about how millenials are pussies post on this forum?

No, you're implying the music is dubstep when it's in fact industrial

>on YT

>tool isnt industrial metal but its extremely bad. the drummer is good but the music in general is kinda shitty.

Hating tool is a meme because the fanbase is annoying.

Outside of 10 000 days their music is pretty good.

Tool is prog/alt metal, industrial metal is like Godflesh or Ministry.

It's confusing that you associate this kind of music with those two groups. Also why did you just assume my opinions on things like that??? You're not really making any actual point other than trying to discredit what I had to say in the most retarded manner possible.

Great argument, kiddo, really showing me what for. Got any other hot meme gems?

i like a lot of bands. my favorite bands are all 90s emo like sunny day real estate. as far as metal goes i like thrash and death metal more than prog metal like tool.

I'm not implying it's dubstep. Brostep shit like Skrillex isn't really dubstep.

And calling it industrial is a joke. This sounds nothing like KMFDM, or aggrotech stuff like CombiChrist, God Module, etc.

" industrial " is a shit label anyway, almost as bad as saying " it's metal " when a billion different things are " metal "

Yes. Those bands, neither of whom I have heard, are the two first examples on Wikipedia. Based on this page, I'm not intrigued by the genre, though I've dug me some NiN from time to time.

>Its a ''compares fanmade wads to base game levels'' shitposter
post a screenshot of the actual DOOM levels

The soundtrack is great, what's even more impressive is how it's implemented.

youtube.com/watch?v=pNkQMtZAMAw

"you have a vagina"
"special little head"

libertarian dad who thinks mini vans are neutering the male population of america say this shit dude.

>Execute moves
>Shitty cut-scenes (just because it shows Doom marine not giving a fuck doesn't make them oldschool)
>the chainsaw
i.e the use for ammo button.

it's industrial metal with filthy synths and very similar to quake's title track
that's it

its not industrial you fucking mong

That's literally no different from someone calling another "autistic" or "virgin" or "cuck" because nobody on this shithole knows how to use words and just spouts meme phrases at one another instead of just calling retarded assholes and being done with it.

no its not. its not industrial.

Rad. I get "not liking" Tool, music is subjective but IMO saying that the band is "bad" is like saying a show like Always Sunny is "bad" because you don't like crass humor, and you can't see that it's also incredibly clever and the characters are interesting.

You don't have to use the moves except for bosses, and even then they're incredibly short and quick.

The cutscenes are barely existent beyond being a cooldown between fights and hardly devalue the game.

Still better than the chainsaw from Doom 3.

it makes you sound like a retarded old man

there arent a lot of shows that are better than always sunny but there are bands that are better than tool in their own genre. but their drummer is really really good and thats a good thing.

youtube.com/watch?v=8gPyLXw7f-Y

This is an example of industrial metal. DOOM's soundtrack is not industrial metal.

okay, then what is it

What weapons are best to upgrade? I'm overwhelmed by this RPG shit I just want to blow shit up

Says you.

My man.

youtube.com/watch?v=SH3SJcUTSY8

very badly done djent dubstep fusion

Most industrial metal is pretty trashy. NIN is great though, probably because they understand how to dial it back.

>dubstep
Thanks I know to disregard everything you say now.

Yes it is, that is literally what Mick Gordon was aiming for.

See

>dubstep
There's that word again. Genesis sound chip might as well be a dubstep machine too.

Well this games soundtrack kick ass.

Also I love HM 1 and 2 soundtracks.

And I listen sometimes to Nero's Day at Disneyland.

Am I inbred retard with no music taste?

>being a fucking hipster about dubshit

yur hurr let's post some ancient Stagga and pretend wez kewl

>NIN
>industrial metal

>NIN
>they

I'm not the retard who thinks DOOM's ost is dubstep

How can music be autistic?

I'm not even that guy you were responding to, just the idea of someone being elitist about dubstep is ridiculous to me.

Not him but you're a literal retard if you think D44ms OST is even remotely dubstep like.

Anything to Sup Forums can be autistic, even doing something featured in the game like naming characters.

There's a distinct difference between those two tracks, though.

There's more to industrial metal than just guitars + synth.

How is not REMOTELY dubstep? Bass drops, asynchronous sounds lacking in truly musical quality, etc.

If you changed the soundfonts, they'd be literal trap beats. ( not all of them, but a lot of them )

Nobody is being pretentious about dubstep. You are just that deaf and clueless about what the fuck dubstep even is.

how is it industrial though?

youtu.be/pmj96Rm0oiE

youtu.be/xV3AEEsGRf4

Anyone who knows the original Doom ost can appreciate D44M's ost, it's as simple as that

i think you're clueless about what industrial is.

>Bass drops and asynchronous sounds are just dubstep

Sup Forums is fucking slaying me today.

Doom 2016 soundtrack isn't something you listen to, user. Even I thought it sucked and sounded like generic tryhard rock music. But the way it's used in the game is spectacular, on par with the way Halo's music jumps in and out dynamically when stuff happens on screen.

Doom is the same way. You're walking through the Martian canyons and it's all eerie and lonely, then you hear the howls of the demons/undead and then the music kicks in to tell you you're in for a big fight. But it does so in a way where you really feel like the Doom Guy who's about to mow them down. It works.

Outside of the game, just listening to the OST for shits and giggles? Sure, I don't care for it either. But you damn well better believe that shit works ingame. And it's pretty great.

...

Never said anything but all I know is you are fucking deaf and ignorant of what dubstep is.

Well, you can't make such wads for D44M. SnapMap is pretty limited compared to actual level editor software.

Again, you're an idiot.

None of the things you listed are a core part of dubstep. What signifies dubstep is a particular drum rhythm that's not present in any of the Doom tracks. Things like bass and asynchronous sounds are used many electronic genres, not just dubstep.

>trap beats
No they wouldn't. Also I thought you were talking about dubstep.

>lacking in truly musical quality
>musical quality
Never mind, you're more retarded than I initially thought.

>There's a distinct difference between those two tracks, though.

News flash, songs under the same genre don't sound the same beyond some basic similarities. Industrial metal is basically just electronic music combined with metal when you get right down to it and always has been.

Reznor is the only official member, though.

holy this t3h d0bst3p def3n0r is here
