I get the feeling it was a personal freakout by one specific GM, because he didn't permaban me immediately, instead gave me a 24 hour ban, then as soon as I logged back in he banned me for a week, then as soon as I logged in again after that I got a permaban.

that flavor text in the game is essentially a shorter, generalized version of the entire story. the new champs lore especially have more than just a few paragraphs of lore if you look on the website.
