Can anyone quickly educate me on wall mounts?

I recently bought an Acer K2 27" monitor. The back of the box says it is compatible with VESA standard mounts. Does this mean I can really buy any mount that brands itself as VESA?

Had a ton of issues with HDMI cables passing 4k HDR, had to try like 5 different HDMI cables before I got one that worked. That's why the bookshelves are empty. Had to keep moving the shelves to run different HDMI cables. I have since moved most of the movies/games back onto the shelving but i'm also logging all of my collection into a spreadsheet which takes longer then you would think
