Yes. It remains one of the best GTA games.

it has the best atmosphere of any GTA

I happened to play III, San Andreas and Vice City last Decemeber after finishing V. My opinion?
III is the third best game in the whole series, behind V and London 1969

played through it a couple weeks ago for the first time in a decade. it feels pretty bare bones and empty, even compared to Vice City. The characters are just a bunch of gangster movie stereotypes without any real effort put into their writing, so its not too interesting there narratively. I still had fun with it, but I'd honestly say thats purely nostalgia. Not really worth checking out for someone who started with 4 or 5. Just go straight to San Andreas.

people take the car driving in gta games for granted

holds up pretty well

Second best, after Liberty City Stories.

>V is a good game

Kind of. The driving is fine but shootouts are tough because you need to stand still to shoot.

But hands are all messed up, so you better drive brother

yeah but you cant play it like the other gta games. you just need to remember that you are absolutely useless on foot. rely on drive bys and after a certain mission you unlock a bullet proof patriot which makes the game much easier.

>useless on foot
>having trouble surviving in a gta game

the aiming is god awful in gta 3

Its still my favorite GTA and I still play it routinely. It really nails the gritty satirical city feel. Its gameplay is simple, effective and fun. Thats why GTA is huge today, because of this game. Sure its a bit rough around the edges but I feel that part of the charm.

Flashback FM. Best station

Alright this is easily the best part of the game. It just happens to work, kind of, but when it does its fucking great.

So you gotta find this truck. The flatbed. Now theyre rare to spawn, so the best place to find one is that small military base in Portland Island. Once you see one, theyll appear everywhere right? So you gotta find one being driven, somehow jump into the bed part and shoot the truck once.

The truck driver will take off speeding. You can just unload on everyone. I like to use the assault rifle. Stars will rack up and cops will start chasing the truck and you can just take them out too. The thing that makes it work is that when you fall down from an impact, you usually wont fall out because the bed is huge and it has these little walls around it.

This probably sounds lame, but try it. I guarantee youll get a kick outta it. Or be a faggot whatever.

yes. the fact that you cant fly might actually contribute tot he atmosphere

It's OK. There's not really much reason to play it over VC nowadays unless you really got a thing for the scarface soundtrack or want to see where the modern 3D sandbox game really started taking off.

theres a plane you can ride at the airport

Has the best level design of the PS2 trilogy, that's for sure.

Vice City dickriders are quick to bash it because it's not the exact same game.

eh, not really.

>tfw the GTA series as a whole aged like whine

I still enjoy playing GTA2 from time to time. I'm not sure if it's the nostalgia, but those older games just seem to have as much love in them.
