It felt like it had some potential back in beta, large scale outdoor fights were fun

I actually really liked firefall. Plenty of it was kinda mediocre but the way you could jetpack around to anywhere made it feel really open and more like an actual world than any MMO I've played since old school world of warcraft. The last two story missions were really fun too.

Everquest next, holy shit they literally robbed people of their time and money.

Nobody believed me when I told them not to give SOE any money or attention and that they ran everything they've ever made into the ground so hard Hi Rez is jealous.

Played this with Warbros. Loved the game, but it was content starved and they never added enough to keep people interested with all the good stuff locked behind paywalls. The booty was fine too.

>tfw I played it for over 3 years
>tfw I watched it degrade month after month from beta until it was fucked beyond repair
feels bad

Just looked at gameplay and now I'm bummed out

what ever happened to this game anyway? I didn't follow any of it

I kinda liked it when I tried it but I went back to tf2 because I was more involved in that at the moment.

What went wrong?

they basically took everything that made the game fun out and instead focused on streamlining it into a run of the mill mmo instead of focusing on what made it unique
the forums were basically all just "bring the game back to the way it was in beta you god damn retards" but the devs didn't listen and thought they knew better what players wanted
in the end it just slowly died because the community was too jaded to care anymore

they cancelled it and just ran off with all the early access money.

Firefall was just kinda boring. I liked some of the ideas behind it but every time I try to play it I just get bored super quickly.

OH I remember firefall all right.
I remember how SHITTY it was, ha!

This was a real disappointment. You could tell the original team working on it was really passionate about it, and although it didn't seem groundbreaking it did seem like it would breathe some new life into the MMORPG genre. I was looking forward to seeing the game completed.

The agency for ps3

Studio got bought up and pretty much everyone got fired right after so not really their fault. I dont doubt that they would fuck up if given time though.

It was fun when there was still a community to play with. I fondly remember doing BWA speed runs with a well coordinated team of friends, always breaking our own record by just a second or a half and feeling a real sense of accomplishment.
When we experimented around with Arsenal frames and discovered we could abuse the shotgun for massive damage while healing ourselves in the melding with that 140% damage reduction shield, effectively cutting our run time in half in the process that was one of the greatest moments in the game for me.
But then the developers put the NO FUN ALLOWED curtain over the whole thing and that's what killed the game for me. Any new fun mechanic that players found out got instantly removed for no good reason.

Can't believe I paid 40$ for this

Only thing worth remembering about this game was this

>The fog machines they used for this video destroyed all the studio's equipment and cost them thousands of dollars

the problem with mmo's is mmo's.

>STILL in alpha
>2017 release date
surely this time

You can refund it when it gets released.

they are basically making a new engine, how long do you think this takes?

The problem with mmos is the playerbase.

Fuck off Brian

this image peeves me

I have a high standard for greebles and the bus just looks dumb

And the devs.

>when it gets released

AAAAAHAHAHAHAHA

And the boring, repetitive gameplay

No, just the playerbase.

>had this cuck Indian friend
>he had 5 beta keys
>he got some special reward if all of them were redeemed
>he gave them to me and 4 of my friends
>no of us redeemed them
>I punched him in his little dot on the last day of school
>I'm still friends with him on steam

Less than 3 fucking years? It's not like they built the game or the engine from scratch, and it's sure as hell not like they've been raking in cash this entire time. It's been three fucking years and they still can't get zombies working.

Honestly it's the problem with most online games but in MMOs it's a lot worse, for different reasons.

FORNITE IS STILL NOT OUT
FUCK OFF EPIC
