What are some good LotR games?

What are some good LotR games?

Bonus points if they're not directly about events from the books/movies.

Shadow of Mordor isn't as bad as Sup Forums make it out to be.

It isn't bad. Just if you played Asscreed and Batham than you have played Shadows of mordor.

Shadows of Angmar/Mines of Moria Lotro was the best LOTR game I've ever played and also the best MMO I've ever played.

Battle for Middle Earth 1/2 are both pretty good games, I'd say 2 is better than 1.

its a pile of shit but then again you can't go one post without insulting the alt-right can you? go back to whatever shithole people like you post on

>"SJWs censor everything!"
>"G-Go back to your hole! D-Don't think different from me! Sup Forums is my safe space!"

...

Battle for middle Earth were both good games. The Third Age as well (there are 2 the one for PS2/Gamecube and one for GBA that is a SRPG which was freaking glorious). The Two Towers and Return of the King beat em ups were also really good even if the follow the movies. Shadow of Mordor is derivative as all hell but I guess it is worth playing it only for the Nemesis system which was freaking hilarious, I remember the threads with Uguu the orc.

chill out user why are you taking that image by heart?

>getting triggered by that image when youre no different from always having to post about the alt-left with cuck

Whoa is that a lord of the rings turn-based rpg?
How is it?

Are there any games based on like, The Silmarillion? Like what is the KotOR of LotR?

I saw the thumbnail and thought it was related to FF X. Looks pretty neato.

The Third Age, for Gamecube and PS2.

idk I found it in google images but that was my exact reaction

Wow, CTR is still paying its shills? I thought she ran out of money already.

It's FFX-lite with no story

MUME

I remember it being pretty enjoyable, but I haven't played through it again so no idea how it holds up.

I really love these timeline style turn base games, where you can pick and choose attacks by seeing how they will affect who has the next turns.

Also that game, The Third Age, is special because you can play as the bad guys.

Crash Team Racing?

That game has been shilled longer than any other.

third age total war

mod for medieval 2 total war

I remember I played TTA years ago and never finished it because I permanently lost the Elf party member and never bothered to play it again after that.

Two Towers game was great. Shadows of Morder has great gameplay(AssCreed but actually challenging) but shit story. I think right now the best LOTR anything regarding vidya is the Medieval 2 LOTR conversion mod.

The Two Towers and Return of the King movie games by EA were good.

Battle for Middle Earth 1 & 2.

Shadows of Mordor kinda.

the last days mod for warband or shadow of mordor if you're playing it for the 1st time, turn off casualfag overhead button alerts though

Shadow of Mordor is great, it's like Assassins Creed but with more heart and way more customization in combat and builds.

Battle for Middle Earth is comfy too, the premade bases weren't as bad as some make it out. The second one is also good but more of a traditional RTS.

I wish they'd make a good RPG. An open world, despite the meme, would be really cool to go through, or a Dragon Age: Origins type game would be great too.

The Two Towers for GBA was basically a Diablo-clone.

Does anyone know about pre-movie games? Like there are SNES versions of the books.

There was a Hobbit adventure game on the gamecube that has nothing to do with the movies that came out a couple years ago.

>Shadow of Mordor is great, it's like Assassins Creed

easily breakable system and generally prety fun i'd say

> but with more heart and way more customization in combat and builds.

>it's a comfy pub scene
>characters eat tasty as fuck looking medieval food
>get hungry as fuck
god damn LotR is straight up food porn at some points.

Shadows of Mordor doesn't respect the "lore" but if you approach it simply as a Tolkienesque Orc Murder Simulator, then it's honestly pretty good.
10/10 PC port too.

what are some good games that have that lord of the rings vibe without being lord of the ring games?

war in the north owns

Skyrim.

Dragon's Dogma.

Battle for Wesnoth

Dragon Age Origins.

Awakening to but it loses some of the feel, 2 and Inquisition completely lose the feel.
