Post underrated spin-offs

Fave level was that overgrow hospital in #file 2

why did so many Japanese Game Boy spin-off titles get retitled to the main series name for their English release?

Mega Man, Castlevania, Metal Gear

I really loved the very first level in the bar, and the level in the university. Favorite level from 2 was the police station.

I felt like File 2 had too much of a focus on non-zombie enemies in every level. Animals in the zoo, fleas in the subway, etc. It's nice to mix it up but sometimes I just want standard zombies.

This.

>Playing this for the first time at my dad's friends house
>No idea what I'm doing
>Zooming in on all the Pokemon but not actually taking pictures
>Turn around
>The friends qt Asian daughter is leaning on the back of the couch silently watching me be retarded

FUCK THAT GAME

to sell better
Yeah, you end up becoming so familiar with that bar and the whole level is just nicely structured
tfw RCPD Clint Eastwood was never playable

>tfw RCPD Clint Eastwood was never playable

Almost every single NPC was playable, who are you talking about?

That NPC cop with the shotgun you meet in the 1st mission, in fairness it's actually been years since I played that game i completely forgot you could unlock character skins and stuff

Yeah you could play as him. Pretty sure he was called Raymond.

Haven't even played a single Jak game but I really liked this one.

The beginning of Resident Evil's ship setting obsession

Fuck that box puzzle; I kinda wish the series had gone in a similar direction (each title completely standalone) instead of Illuminati nonsense

I liked the idea and character designs.

MGS is just too plot heavy to not keep the story going, a combination of both would have been nice, with the spin-offs just being self contained missions/events.

They had to keep fucking up the gameplay with stuff like portable ops and Ac!d though

I love how many options you had in it, between actually going into the hospital and going all the way through or just heading into the forest deeper.

>The beginning of Resident Evil's ship setting obsession

Ships are a decent setting because its completely isolated.

That being said I wasn't a huge fan of Revelations largely because you kept back and forthing off the ship.

>The "comic relief" sections with those two guys

Literally what the fuck was that?

Acid was the best handheld Metal Gear because it was the only one where developers were aware they were making a handheld game and came up with suitable gameplay.

Also, I think Portable Ops was better than Peace Walker

G O A T spin off. Favorite level from the first Outbreak is the Decisions, Desicions ,and from the 2nd, End of the Road

Ac!d 2 is best Metal Gear spinoff imo. Played the shit out of it when I was younger.

>The ending in which Leon turns out to be a BOW

Literally what the FUCK was that?

...

Not-Meryl is the best MGS girl
