Yep experimental mipmapping support started last september and has been going through gradual improvements since then along with the emulator itself, the next stable release of PCSX2 will probably be this month as well.

Ape Escape 3 has been running well for awhile with no graphical issues, but AE2 yes although it's still not 100% accurate in terms of far away textures there's no annoying rapid texture swaps anymore.

All the PS2 games are absolute must plays, once they can be emulated flawlessly then there is literally no excuse to not play them.
Size matters is fun but not up to the same quality at the console games and Secret Agent Clank was just a worse Sly Cooper.
Tools of Destruction was really good but drags on for way too long.
Quest for booty is a fun appetizer.
Crack in Time is almost a perfect game.
In the Nexus is fun but the engine it ran on was terrible compared to the old ones and was too short.
All the PS3 games reused too many weapons.
Didn't play any of the party games.
Remake and Clank is fun if you just want more Ratchet and Clank, but is a poor remake and not a substitute for the original game.
