People are getting tired of this hacked to shit series.
The highest rated kingdom hearts game has an 85 in metacritic, how is this bad?
What baffles me is that grown adults enjoy this Disney shit for 4 year olds. How the fuck is this cash grab for retards the pinnacle of gaming to some people? Just give it time and the KH Defence Force will come rolling in.
Then why are people excited for 2.8
8.5 is pretty good for a glorified demo.
>The first review is by Gameinformer, who gave the game an 8.5 out of 10 citing solid voice perfomance, crisp visuals with detailed environments, and the smoothest controls in the series.
>smoothest controls in the series.
I'd have to play for myself, .2 looks pretty smooth but it ain't no 2FM.
>it's another "scores and reviews are only relevant when my hype agrees with them" episode
That's a nearly perfect score. If it was higher you know the reviewer got paid for the review. 7-8 is where you want to be.
i wanna put my 8.5 inside aqua
>reeee stop enjoying things
>It's fine if I enjoy Micky, Donald, and Goofy!
>MLP? Now that shit's for kids!
KH Fans literally have the mental capacity of 8 year olds. But you can't wait for the universe based on Frozen too, right famalam? It's awesome when they visit all those cool worlds based on Disney franchises!
Autism is why
Damn, who touched you?
>Disney is only for children
Are you actually 12? In your "too cool for that baby shit" phase?
Disney is a family-oriented company that produces films enjoyable for all ages. There are plenty of well-adjusted adults that are fans of Disney films.
You would know this if you left the basement once in a while.
>friend made me play Kingdom Hearts 1
>wanted to play the sequel (KH2)
>friend said I should play 1.5 first
>dafuq.jpg
>now there's 2.5
>2.5 remastered
>dream drop whatever the fuck
>what do
Seriously though, I didn't want to play 1.5 because it looked like trash and a waste. What the fuck is the chronological order of these anymore, they're making it so fucking complicated for no reason.
IT HAS TO BE A TRILOGY. Except there's fucking games between the sequels.
Someone please make it simple for me. I want to enjoy them properly.
While I agree, this is because most Disney films have substance an morals that are relevant to adults. Kingdom hearts does not.
It's 1.5 > 2.5 > 2.8 > 3
I'm currently in full-on "well I'm this far might as well finish" mode so...
>slaps $60 down
I don't have much love for Disney but they play well. The story does have a bad case of "making it up as they go along" though. What I'm saying is, learn the controls and don't take it too seriously and they are enjoyable.
>What the fuck is the chronological order of these anymore
Don't play in chronological order you fuck
1.5, 2.5, 2.8, 3
Wow
How fucking hard is that, following in numerical order
Serious answer: None of them are worth playing.
If you really want to know, 1.5 is an HD rerelease of kh1 with the spin off re: chain of memories included. 2.5 is a rerelease of 2 with the spin off birth by sleep included.
>MLP? Now that shit's for kids!
Who are you quoting? I don't give a shit if someone enjoys MLP.
>IT HAS TO BE A TRILOGY. Except there's fucking games between the sequels.
What?
>Someone please make it simple for me. I want to enjoy them properly.
BBS>KH1>CoM>KH2>3D>3
Coded and days aren't necessary unless Nomura brings back Xion from Days.
There's nothing wrong about enjoying Disney movies. Or MLP. Or cartoons in general. Most of them aren't any dumber than a lot of things ostensablz aimed at adults. What I see on tv in the early afternoon makes Spongebob look like Wild Strawberries.
>yfw sora appears in the final form of the final boss of 0.2
>you get to play as soar for a bit like we did riku in kh2 xemnas except you get like full fluid control of him
>the ending scene is the "I'm back" scene in the trailer
>turns out his secret was going to go save best girl
>Serious answer: None of them are worth playing.
Bad opinion
Freya when?
That's a surprisingly solid score for what's basically KH Ground Zeroes with Dream Drop Distance tacked on.
Would the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 collection be the best way to get into the series if I have a PS4?
That and 2.8
>Kingdom Hearts II.8 Final Chapter Prologue
This is what happens if Nomura is allowed to direct shit. Thank god we never got Versus XIII
Wait until it is out. Why? Even though it promises 60 fps you want to be sure it actually works and doesn't run into the Saïx problem where you can never complete the button prompts or anything like that. Also crash fixes and reversal action issues that were in the PS3 versions.
But if it's all good then absolutely.
Yes. It's literally the whole series expect for the stuff in 2.8
The movie in 2.8 looks pretty interesting considering it's new material compared to the other two movies that covered Days and Recoded. The foretellers look like an interesting bunch.
>This is what happens if Nomura is allowed to direct shit.
A good game will come out? Can't have that, can we?
It would. They're all the games that are actually worth a damn. I'd wait in 2.8 to go on sale just because I don't think 3D with a 5 hour demo is worth the asking price compared to 1.5 and 2.5 even standalone.
play them in release order ya fuck
it bothers me why people insist in playing chronological order than in release order
hell not just games, movies, etc.
just because it's a prequel doesn't mean you should consume it on its contextual time setting
a prequel will work because it will have elements like callbacks to the installment before it, and if taken "chronologically" you'll miss out on those elements
Does it really make a difference if it's a dozen different games or one game and a dozen pieces of other multimedia wankery and story DLC? I guess it's cheaper for the consumer but not any less confusing.
>KH3 info dump happening really soon
POST WHAT THE FUCK YOU WANT TO SEE
>EMPORERS NEW GROOVE WORLD
>DR FACILIER APPEARING IN SOME WAY
>MORE WEAPON TRANSFORMATIONS
>NEW MODEL RENDERS
>DRIVE FORMS IN ACTION
>Not shit gameplay
How the fuck a 8.5 is bad?
Only in the videogame industry this happens, retarded fanbase in general
>Is this collection that included all the games a good way to get into the series?
Gee, user, what do you think?
Why are people so hard on Kingdom Hearts? Sure the plot is a bit over the place but the gameplay is solid, and it's a very polished series in general with lots of good aspects.
1.5 and 2.5 are just remasters of 1 and 2 with remasters of Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded and Birth By Sleep respectively. You can go right to playing 2 if you don't care for fucking card games. Just read a synopsis or some shit.
>Why are people so hard on Kingdom Hearts?
It's a meme that some people take extremely seriously.
Where were you when 8.8? This shit's been going on even longer than that.
Why does KH cause such hurt feelings? Like, if it's not for you, it's not for you. No need to shitpost about it.
I want Xemnas to pop the fuck up in 0.2 in some capacity.
There are a lot of video games out there man. If you had infinite time it would be fine to play them, but we don't. I started hating the series after beating BBS on critical, maybe that was just such a bad experience it ruined the series for me
BbS Critical is pretty bad yeah
Why even play BBS on Critical after you would have noticed its combat issues in Standard alone?
Yeah I suppose release order is best.
But still, so many different remastered or whatever the fuck, it gets overwhelming when you've never really played the franchise or gotten familiar with it.
It's almost like expecting someone to play Final Fantasy in order, then you have XII-2 and shit like wtf. Someone devs just don't make it easy unless you don't have a life and invest all your time into it.
>maybe that was just such a bad experience it ruined the series for me
Exactly that. BBS is unbalanced as fuck and the critical mode is a slog.
I wouldn't judge the whole game series based on that though.
>Disney films have substance an morals that are relevant to adults. Kingdom hearts does not.
H-he...hey... I learned that muh friends are muh power
They made it very easy now. Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5 will be released for the PS4 in March. Along with 2.8, that means that you'll only need to get two things, since they cover absolutely everything with the unfortunate exception of the timeless classic and greatest game in the franchise, Kingdom Hearts V-Cast.
>KH continues its trend of spreading across different systems even doing anthologies
Why didn't they port the previous two anthologies to ps4, jesus fucking christ
They are porting them by March. The whole series will be on PS4.
>so many different remastered or whatever the fuck
All you have to do is play 1.5+2.5 for PS4 and 2.8. And then go in the order of the games on screen. They only one so far that's out of original release order in 1.5+2.5 is Days.
Going in Chronological order would require you to switch off on some games because some of them over lap. Like the last part of KH1 and Days. And then Chain of Memories and Days occur concurrently.
Literally read the thread. 1.5+2.5 is the PS4 compilation and it's all on one disk.
Kingdom Hearts, the series with only two good games and by that I mean release order, KH2 sucked
This is more of a Nomura issue than a Disney issue, though. None of his games have non-retarded stories. Shame, really.
I learned to stop being afraid of the dark
I dunno how a remaster can overwhelm you when it's literally the same game, just prettier.
If anything you should be put at ease by the HD collections since they make the job of catching up with this series infinitely simpler.
Will they be as buggy and broken as the ps3 remakes
TWEWY had a simple and effective story
How can Basil be as big as Goofy and Donald?
I learned that heartless beings CAN have hearts
...
Okay so list the exact games I should play after 1.
I've been waiting quite a while, so far nobody has been able to do it.
Hmmmmm....
>Remakes
kek
Also, you're exaggerating. They had some performance issues but they were not THAT severe, in KH2 especially the crashes were done very specifically and pretty much the worst problem was lack of install option and reversal fuck up in Final Xemnas fight (but even that was counterable with the limit with Riku)
KH1HD supposedly had random crashes but for some reason I never experienced any myself and I plat'd that game
Playable Riku who simultaneously uses the power of Light and Darkness when?
My suggestion? Wait until March. Get Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5 (one disk) and Kingdom Hearts 2.8.
There. You'll have everything you need.
The Final Mixes improve KH2 and BBS. DDD HD is making the drop feature less of a hassle with the extended time and has new content.
I had no crashes while plat-ing KH1 or KH2, and I didnt encounter the Xemnas glitch in either version of that fight.
Chain of Memories
Kingdom Hearts II
358/2 Days
Birth by Sleep
Re:coded
Dream Drop Distance
X and/or watch Back Cover
0.2
ezpz
It's just release order my dude.
user his daddy never hugged him be nice
All of them except 358/2 Days and BBS. Just read their wikis.
Re:CoM, rush Riku's playthrough.
Play KH2 in Proud Mode and never grind.
then Re:Coded
then DDD
then 0.2.
>Nobody
Dude. You asked for chronological order and you got them.
BbS>1>CoM>2>3D
And then just watch the damn Days and Coded movies.
sup
CoM and Days are in 1.5 with KH1
BbS and Re:coded are in 2.5 with KHII
The rest are in 2.8

>I didnt encounter the Xemnas glitch in either version of that fight.
How? That prompt is literally broken.
>and I didnt encounter the Xemnas glitch in either version of that fight.
Pretty sure that it happens to everyone
I didnt like KH2 when it came out but after playing FM on critical its my favorite gamein the series.
Still has issues I wish they'd change, like Roxas section being so long and boring and all the dodge abilities requiring form grinding but they dont hurt my experience much in the long run.
Considering they outright stated that 3 is not the last, should we expect to play KH 4 on the PS6 and having to buy 2.999 and 3.3 and 3.6 and such?
Cheeky fucker, I haven't smiled this hard all day
Well...um...Has the game improved since 2010?
> thousand year door got 6.5
> best mario game in eons
Reviews literally dont matter for shit senpai
So what? I'm not going to buy KH2 again because I hated it. That's nice they tried to improve it but with me and most gamers you get one shot. A remake will only be bought by those who never played KH2 or liked the original anyway so it solves nothing
I had no issues with that attack tho.
Maybe It did happen and I avoided it some other way but his reversal attack didnt cause me any problems.
Reboot has no p2w and is all grind/bot
It got 6.5???
What the fuck?!
Isn't that the same score they gave FFXV? Fucking kek
Well that's your choice. But improved versions of games exist for a lot of series. MGS3, etc and is a thing in general for a lot of things like characters and such over time.
The issue with the Xemnas glitch is that when you go to hit the RC during the combo, the button straight up doesn't work. So either you got around it without realizing it, or somehow you got a blessed copy of the game and earned Xemnas' favor.
Funny thing is it works just fine in the Japanese version.
Yeah, I forgot the JP version didn't have problems the NA version did
It's not a remake though.
The weeaboo tax that western reviewers give jap games is fuckimg unfair.
Well it had the load issue, but everything else was fine. So the localization team were the ones who fucked up. And they didn't even bother patching it, the faggots.
...
What's Mickey's new outfit going to be like?
I can't wait for the Rebirth theory to finally be put to bed.
Also Invi is fucking either Luxu or the MoM. That headpat was too intimate.
