Yea it does hold up, I've got maxed combat stats except 90 prayer in osrs. It's a complete waste of time though and I regret spending so much time on it, it's just grinding and grinding.

Sold all my gold back in 2015 and never looked back, I think I'll stay away from mmorpgs for the rest of my life

Old school has changed quite a bit compared to when it started. For the longevity of the game it is a good thing as if the game just stayed the way it was, it would likely already be dead, but if you're just looking for a nostalgia trip you likely won't get much of one.

They just added the first raid to old school today as a matter of fact.

Oldschool runescape is fun. Stays true to rs circa-2008.
Don't expect a purely authentic experience like you played when you were in grade school though, most of that shit was extremely annoying and patched out.

The endgame is essentially just grinding to make grinding easier.

In Destroy All Aliens I reloaded my game any time I died to keep the clone cycle at 0. I don't know why.

I don't really care if RS3 is fun, the older runescape is the game I personally liked.

I think the game was best when they just launched Godwars.now you have stupid items like primordial boots and other things that add up to boost max hits even though hp is the same, and you don't even lose anything on death since babbies cried all the time. Also potions like super combat made some bosses really easy, you can camp Sara for half a day with that crap

When I was playing and those items were introduced it was the end game, the only other was Corp which is a damage sponge boss that you could afk unless you was duo

updates to the game are starting to encroach on post-07 scape but its very good so far.
