How did these collect resources and build stuff games manage to be even worse than Minecraft?
How did these collect resources and build stuff games manage to be even worse than Minecraft?
>insulting Subnautica
I will stab you through the Internet.
Try me, punk.
You're outclassed, fool
>axe beats gun
In what world
The one where axe has bigger guns as backup.
I've been enjoying Subnautica and I don't usually like survival games.
thats dum as f tbhf
Subnautica is fantastic, it's just not complete yet.
Astroneer I can't comment on.
Me too, except I just hit a bit of a wall where I feel I have nowhere to expand to except roam the seas looking for wrecks to unlock vehicle bay and more seabase parts
Except without a moonwell I don't think I have any way to repair and refuel the seamoth, which makes said exploration really constrained.
Also following this squid bastard which I SURE AS HELL ain't gonna do from what I read about him.
You repair the seamoth with the welder, refuel it by recharging or making new power cells.
Minecraft was pretty shit too initially.
Negative. Minecraft got worse over time.
You want to build the big cyclops submarine, you can dock the seamoth in it and it will recharge its power cells. You can also build inside it and use it as a mobile base, which is really cool.
I'm kind of at a wall too, I need to find the upgrades for the seamoth and the cyclops so they can dive deeper but I'm kind of getting bored of searching for the parts.
>You repair the seamoth with the welder
...in retrospect that seems rather obvious actually
>refuel it by recharging or making new power cells
I don't have the recharging bay for power cells yet though, and I'm terrified of wasting resources, but I guess making new power cells will have to do
like ur mom lmao
I also hate all the generic minecraft clones out there
But at least subnautica seems easy to get into. Its not heavy on the base building, you just make whats necessary to survive.
Any decorations for your base is rare as shit
I just like the horror aspect of the deep sea and all the creepy moans you hear as you find blueprints for a submarine
Yeah, base and equipment building is very forgiving, you don't spend long stretches of time putting the pieces together like you would in, say, Minecraft and Terraria. The fact that surrounding terrain automatically clears itself to make space for it is also neat.
It's kind of redundant once you get the cyclops though.
>can build inside it
>mobile
>charges seamoth
>can build power cell rechargers inside it and you'll make a profit on energy (infinite power cells)
>can transport prawn suit long-distance
>you can put planters and aquariums in it for fast food
Honestly this thing makes me feel like a little kid, I love it.
Wish navigating in it was more forgiving though, I'm prone to getting stuck on rocks and shit.
Bur can you ram Reapers with it.
This is a very important question.
I tried doing it with the Seamoth. Didn't end well.
Reapers just kind of touch your cyclops and then fuck off
I think only stalkers and smaller fish are the only ones that get hurt when you ram into them
>early access
>no objectives
>unfinished
>never gets out of early access
Yeah it can't be damaged by an wildlife that I know of. I've had reapers swim around it and have a go at it, but they can't damage it.
You can also run it through shoals of fish and roadkill them.
>no objectives
>he doesn't know about the secret alien superweapon complexes and the quarantine
Subnautica has an objective though, it's building a rocket, then chasing enough horrible sea monsters that it allows you to NOPE hard enough to achieve escape velocity.
Also doesn't it have a projected release date for may of this year?
>charging for an unfinished game
>cucks literally paying to be beta testers
why is this allowed?
Wait, there are islands in the game now?
Only two of them
And one depends on your definition of an island
I want a game where I can build comfy bases with a LOT of decorations. I'm talking like placing fireplaces, couches, and counters wherever I want.
Subnautica was the first VR game that made me throw up from motion sickness
holy shit it was extremely nauseating
Subnautica's fine apart from how much of a pain it is to find silver for the gazillion chips and wiring kits most everything needs. Meanwhile you got so much gold I wish statues and goldplated vehicles were an option.
It can barely run normally with constant short freezes, why in heaven's name would you run it in VR?
>when you realize that the Propulsion Cannon can be used to slam small critters against hard surfaces at breakneck speeds
This will teach you to chew on my wrists you bastards
dragon quest builders
>Build an underground base with zombie grinder for redmoon nights
>Grow all my food and tea for wellness
>Build a bike
>Realise after all that, there's nothing to do.
Was planning to explore the map but meh. Very much a multiplayer game.
