Would you rather be forced to play through the entire Mass Effect trilogy or the entire Dragon Age trilogy?

Would you rather be forced to play through the entire Mass Effect trilogy or the entire Dragon Age trilogy?

I'd choose Mass Effect since I like the first one a lot, but I'm fine with being killed

i quite liked mass effect 1 and 2 but the gameplay in dragon age origins and beyond are just absolute fucking shit

Mass Effect. Finishing the first one has been on my backlog for awhile. Pretty interesting but can get repetitive and boring at times. People say good things about 2, and I guess I'd just struggle through 3.

I played Dragon Age: Origins and couldn't put more than a few hours into it. Interesting setting but bored the shit out of me.

3 is actually the best, it's just the end that sucks.

rather play me series than DA

>remembering the deep roads
>remembering the fade part

Mass Effect.

I hold DA:O higher than any of the Mass Effect games, but DA2 is legitimately the worst game I have ever played in recent memory and nothing I hear about Inquisition is good either.

ME might end with a whimper, but at least playing Vanguard is fun most of the time.

Mass effect BY FAR. Fucking dragon age fans are the worst kind of human being I've interacted with. Who the fuck uses brit slang and shit fake accents? These people have the worst social skills. It's fucking vomit inducing.

Mass Effect.
First one is the last good game Biowaste made.

Dragon Age is mediocre at best. The second one is steaming shit that is offensively bad. Inquisition wasn't remotely close to being as bad as I expected, but it still wasn't great. The last DLC made it better.

Mass Effect. The games are shorter, the gameplay is better, and two of them are actually worth playing instead of only one.

DA:O is the best game out of the six, but the ME trilogy is better overall.

ME has its lacklustre moments at times, but it's perfectly playable, whereas DA:I is kinda boring and DA2 is so bad I've never been able to force myself through the whole thing

I adore DA: Origins and Awakenings but Mass Effect as a series would be easier to play through. DA2 was so bad and DAI was a slog.

Mass Effect, DA2 was just soul shattering terrible.

Mass Effect, easily. I still believe they're good games even if the plot tanked.

Was going to type exactly this and you saved mr the trouble.

Mass Effect because ME1 is at least somewhat memorable and unique as a space adventure (which we don't get many of).

Dragon Age at its "best" is painfully bland and awful.

I just replayed through the mass effect games and I only like the first dragon age so I guess i'll have to go with Mass Effect on this one

>the face of neo Sup Forums

Mass Effect. I loved the first one and you can finish ME2 quickly by not doing any sidequests and dying, dunno about ME3.

Dragon Age: Origins is great, but it's not worth playing DA2 and Inquisition ever. ME series it is.

Lol everyone hates your shit sjw cringe fest game

Mass Effect because it just peters out at the end. Even the last ones gameplay isn't the WORST, it's just a step down. It's everything else that drags 3 down.

DA varies so much between the 3, 1 is great but a slog, 2 is awful all around, 3 is amazing but has some of the worst characters and writing.

Mass Effect because it can be finished fast if you want to. It's all right but three games in the row would get tiresome.

Origins is all right but no way i'd finish it again, same for second one and doubly so for Inquisition, that shit was just too padded.

Dragon age 2 felt like a team of Kent State compsci majors made it. It's fucking terrible.

DAI felt like an MMO minus the multiplayer. 90% of the content is filler. Granted, I did like the story. Even the flamboyantly gay mage guy was likable. And the end DLC was a very nice set up.

Mass Effect, Dragon Age is an absolute SLOG

DA:O was the only good in the series

>memorable characters
>customized AI (really big deal)
>tactical map
>dat last battle speech with the party
>multiple endings

DA: awakening - literally who?
DA 2 - should've been an expansion
DA:I - single player mmo

>DA: awakening - literally who?
that was a pretty good expansion though

Honestly the Mass effect trilogy is vastly superior to the dragon age one.

With dragon age you only got the origins that are truely good.

The second and third is just horrible.

Mass effect may have been dumbed down a bit but atleast they are enjoyable.

Solas was a bro.

Deep Roads I can kind of understand, but I don't get the Fade part is bad meme

It was one of my favourite parts of the game.

ME trilogy was alright, I hated the gameplay mechanics (especially in 3), but could very well just turn down the difficulty and play it for the story again. There's absolutely nothing that I liked in any of DA games.

>forced
Ha! i played ME1 like 6 times ME2 about 4 times and ME3 3 times. I haven't played any dragon age so i guess that one.

the only good thing is anders with sir punce alot

then DA 2 happened and they made him a gay terrorist

Is this supposed to be a contest? Mass Effect as a trilogy is playable and interesting. Dragon Age as a trilogy is fucking trash.

mass effect. i dislike both series but at least mass effect's gameplay isnt tedious

And then Anders, his passenger, and what he did in Kirkwall is pretty much never brought up again.

Mass effect.

I actually managed to be all the ME games, and they're mostly driving great right up until the final 15 minutes of the trilogy.

Loved DA:O, slogged through DA2 mostly fine with it. But I've tried to get into DA:I probably 5 different times now because I like the universe and world-building but I'll play it for an hour then close and uninstall every time. Game's straight trash. Single-player WoW gameplay with garbage animations. I can't even comment on the story because I can't play the damn game long enough to really get into it

Origins is top tier but Mass Effect is the better series even with the last part of 3. But i would rather have the people forcing me to play to kill me instead.

The Mass Effect Trilogy is good, so that one, though I've already done it...Dragon Age is just a hot pile of shit through and through.

I mean, the first game has decent characters and story, but the graphics were like a game from 2003 and the gameplay looked like an MMO with just random attack animations most of the time instead of like what KOTOR had with lightsaber fights while the dice rolls happened.

I never played either, so I don't know

I guess Dragon Age, since I don't like first person shooters.

Mass Effect
The first was published originally by microsoft studios and therefor holds the quality of being a game and not a marketing scheme directed at complete fucking dipshits.
The Dragon Age series was entirely one big gay marketing scheme directed at literal faggots.

>space game
>first person

Honestly just read a synopsis and then play the last DLC. It's quick, concise, has a great story and sets up an old friend as the villain to end all villains.

Mass Effect I guess. As long as I don't have to touch Andromeda.

Mass Effect.

I don't really like that spacebar-pause combat. DnD combat just feels weird in real-time. ME1 has a stupidly adapted version of that, but at least the other games a TPS cover shooters.

Mass effect easily. 1 may be dated game play wise and 3 may have an offensively bad story, but at least they're still solid 6 or 7s/10. DA2 is fucking terrible and I honestly couldn't deal with all the fucking pandering in DA3 to get far enough to judge that game fairly.

Mass Effect actually has good gameplay so this really isn't even a contest. ME2 & 3 fucked the story but at least they were still fun to play. The ME3 multiplayer was also a ton of fun

Spoilers on that fucking image you piece of shit

Does it have the same awful WoW-tier gameplay? Because I cannot overemphasize how off-put I am by the way this game plays.

how can ME2 fuck the story when there wasnt any in the first place? it was all about the characters.
it could've been and should've been a god damn spin off

rather play the mass effect series

I forgot the copy pasta but the collector storyline was fucking beyond pointless

dlc was good though

Mass Effect. All the games were fine at worst and I could actually finish them. I couldn't even get a quarter of the way through Inquisition because everything just felt "off".

Playing a mage, none of the attacks have any impact, and dealt basically 0 damage even on enemies supposedly "vulnerable" to them, the actual talking felt like all the choices were just fancy ways of saying "yes, no, tell me more" instead of actual responses. The only fun I had was playing Keeper in multiplayer and managing everybody's barriers. I REALLY wanted to like the game, and tried it three times, but it feels like the absolute definition of "just rush through everything to get to the few interesting parts". I will say I liked Solas and Bull, if only because they provided interesting tactical/political insight to a character given a leadership position. But it took 10 or so hours into the game before I even got a hint of it, and I'm not willing to desperately hope more of it happens.

When did you guys realize that
>Bioware RPGs are really quite linear, just that in one part you can change the order you do things
>Decisions and save transfers don't mean shit and only changes minor aspects of the plot.
>Despite the "morality" systems, you can never be truly evil in these games. You can be a childish dick but you're still saving the world.
>DnD combat just doesn't work in real time.

Mass Effect. I'd only be suffering during 3 anyway.

I hate Elves and Dragons and middle age shit like that.

I'll take mass effect which has some fun to be had and at worst it becomes boring. Dragon age on the otherhand literally becomes literally painful at times.

DA
I sincerely enjoy DA2 more than any of the mass effect games

And you know, everything else about it, like its shitty uninspired handling of the reaper invasion, how it nullified any decisions you made right from the get go, how Shepard is constantly speaking without any input from you.

>mfw I enjoyed all 3 mass effect games

Mass Effect without a doubt.

ME 1 is great

ME 2 is decent and has moments that surpass ME1

ME3 is an absolute, grinding shitshow

Meanwhile in Dragon Age

DAO is pretty great

DA 2 is so trashy it comes off as a satire of DAO

DAI is everything I hate about single-player mmos paired with some of the least likeable, least memorable characters in fantasy and one of the driest plots Bioware has ever written.

If the shit writers are the ones on ME then the fan-fiction.net kids got DA.

Mass Effect: Finished twice.
Mass Effect 2: Finished once.
Mass Effect 3: So bad I couldn't even bring myself to finish it.

Dragon Age Origins: So bad I couldn't even bring myself to finish it.
Dragon Age 2: Played the demo and didn't even bother to play the full game on account of how bad it is.
Dragon Age Inquisition: Didn't bother with at all.

It's a weird thing to say, but I think that it was to Dragon Age 2s benefit that it had some very obvious identifiable flaws. Where you could look at it and say "this was a stupid development", "that doesn't explain things", "in the end, this specific plot/theme had poor writing".

It makes the flaws easier to acknowledge and progress to focusing on the good parts it has.

Mass effect.

Combat system in the dragon age series is the most boring shit ever

Mass Effect, they get shorter as they get worse.

If I can use MEHEM for 3, Mass Effect.

If not, Dragon Age. It's been a while since I've played through the ME series and DA:O.

nothing in Mass Effect is worse than DA2 by itself, and DAI isn't much better.

>tfw you want to replay ME series but can't because of ME3

Mass Effect.

At least that would have moments where it would be generally enjoyable.

DA:O only gets a pass because of when it came out, it sucks. The rest of them suck even more.

None of the Dragon Age games are good. Not even Origins. It was only ever even given the time of day because it came out with literally zero competition.

At least the first Mass Effect has its space adventure feel, interesting characters, and codex.

Why do people hate any games of these series? Mass Effect wwas rated at an average of 8/10, Mass Effect 2 around 9/10, and Madd Effect 3 around 8.5/10. Dragon Age series got around the same scores. How do you, people without a journalistic degree is journalism know more than the experts? You don't. Stop calling ME and DA shit, they aren;t.

I never tried any of them so it'll be a fun ride any way.

I'd rather replay all of ME than have to go through the travesty that was Inquisition.

I honestly don't understand why people didn't bitch about it when it was objectively worse than ME3.

Mass Effect, already done it 3 times

0800-COME-ON-NOW

Are you implying game journalists ahve journalistic degrees or credidentials?

They're literally all bloggers who never went to school. There was a journalism test done two years ago and all the game journalists tested scored below the acceptable mark.

Dragon Age for the obvious best pairing to jerk off to.

That ride would be fun for no one.

Mass Effect without a fucking doubt.
Origins is fun but I played it to death. I beat 2 once and I never want to play it again. Inquisition is okay, but after 2 I'd probably think it's the best game ever made. Origins isn't good enough to outweigh 2.
ME1 is good, ME2 is alright, 3 minus the last 30 minutes of the game is good.

What do you mean, Mass Effect trilogy?

Saren dies
Council lives/dies
Udina/Anderson takes a place on the council

That's it, that's all there is of Mass Effect

Mass Effect.

Almost fell asleep playing Dragon Age, it was that boring.

I thought everyone died during the Suicide Mission?

Just play ME2. Its disconnect from the overarching Reaper plot makes it a good game to stand alone. I actually played through it four times because the classes felt different enough.

Mass Effect easily. Apart from the ending in 3 it's a great trilogy of games.
Dragon Age on the other hand, Origins is brilliant but the other two are fucking trash.

Try this on for size.

A judge has ordered that for your crimes you must either be locked in a room with no access to the outside world or the internet or anything like that until you have 100% cleared (as in collected/achieved everything possible) ALL the Ubisoft open world games (asscreed, farcry, watchunderscoredogs etc.) or you must go to prison for 1 month. Which do you choose?

Easiest choice of my life; Prison.

I'm pretty sure that would take way longer than a month. Prison.

Actually the ending (with the fixed content dlc) isn't tooooo bad. It's hard to end a story like that well and it could have been worse. It's most everything else in ME3 that makes stuff shit story wise. Except for Tuchanka.

The lethal injection.

Lube me up and give me a cell johnny.

NO, it's NOT hard to end a "story like that" at ALL. It ended fucking PERFECTLY with Shepard and Anderson sitting next to eachother and watching in the distance, and then the next 10 minutes went on to destroy everything.

>ended perfectly with literally nothing ending

>morrigan will never femdominate you
>she will never use your cock for her pleasure
>you will never fuck the shit outta her afterwards

WHY EVEN LIVE GUIS!

ME was a good trilogy except the end of 3. My fav moment was when i was able to keep the scars

What do you mean literally nothing? They had the guts, got the glory, went the distance and didn't stop. They punched in the code and all they had to do was watch as the reapers get fucked up while Anderson tells Shepard he did well with his last breath. That's all you had to do. A poignant budget ending since apparently they didn't have the resources/feel to tie up everything.

>They punched in the code and all they had to do was watch as the reapers get fucked
I don't remember this, it has been a while, had they (until we found out further) disabled the reapers or some shit?

Dragon Age to be perfectly honest.

ME 2 and 3 are complete garbage. DA 2 and 3 aren't as bad.

Who else drove up and down on every single planet in me 1? Holy shit it was tedious but at least I still have the save file backed up to 3 different hard drives.

It looked like they did. Shepard shot the Illusive Man, fiddled with the console to send Hackett the last piece of the Crucible and then sat down and watched space while Anderson gave him thumbs up.

AND THEN

Hackett tells Shepard it doesn't work and Star Babby happens.

Mass Effect.

I like DA:O, and I genuinely kinda enjoy DA2. But DA:I is the single most boring game I have ever played.

I didn't mind Mass Effect 3 too much. I thought the ending was fine(though I only finished it after it was patched).

What would you do Sup Forums bioware make a new ass effect game and Shepard lives
