Why the fuck is this not game of the year?!

Because it's not.
Yes because Team-based Multiplayer Shooter: Microtransaction edition is a far better experience than thirty-story tall robots that can level cities fighting each other for planetary independence.
Nailed it.
If it doesn't have e-sport capable multiplayer, it's shit.
It's my personal game of the year. I even wrote about it on the website I write for as a hobby.
Does it have multiplayer yet?
Poorly planned marketing, according to the lead dev. I really hope the relaunch thing they're planning works out well.
Because robot is an old fashion
anyone share their loadout?
titanfall 2 is fun though
There are no thirty story tall robots in Brigador. Thankfully!
Here are some that I played with and which worked on max difficulty:
>Propter/Belter/Mae D/Cloak
This is the only one I did Full Linear Solo Nobre with James so far. It's pretty damn ridiculous. People swear by Swordfish but I prefer having good lateral speed for dodging and I like aux/turret setup more than main/small. Just don't get hit - but it's easier than sounds with a fast agrav like Propter.
>Broodmare
Almost anything works with this beast. Probably the best mech in the game, the best Ultra vehicle definitely. Just remember that you have stomp and that your stomp does ridiculous damage. I usually put Banshee in main slot for evaporating lighter targets, and then something fun like Bishop or Harvester or Konig in the heavy. Oh, and there's the Ploughman too, but it's too strong currently for my tastes - worth a try though. It looks the best with the Bishop though, because HUGE GUNS.
>Lowmill/Konig/Konig/Smoke I guess
You're slow. You're having trouble grabbing enough ammo to feed your guns. Luckily, that's the only thing you're having trouble with as you're driving the toughest vehicle in the game armed with two 30mm Gatling guns that tear the everfuck out of anything you point them on.
>Canmore/Konig/Belter/Cloak
A slightly weaker version of the above that can actually move around pretty fast if you press Space. Kill a bunch of shit, cloak, glide through their wrecks to gather shield and ammo, repeat. Looks like a bigger KV-2, which is cool.
>Fence (or Fork)/Disco/Disco/Cloak
Double Mae D would probably do more damage, but I appreciate the hitscan of Discos that allows me to focus more on controlling the fast mech/agrav. Turret guns are pretty quiet so you can actually survive on highest difficulty since you don't pull all that much aggro. You can replace Discos with Mae Ds or Crambos or maybe something else entirely.
same here. probably the only game this year i enjoyed
You have a link to where they talk about the marketing/relaunch?
I like the Prism with Banshee/Otomo/Cloak. You can deliver instant death at long range to anything that isn't heavily armored, nuke enemies that get too close after you get swarmed, then cloak out and run like hell when even an Otomo isn't enough dakka.
He did an interview on some twat's podcast. It's about an hour long.
Also try Mantis, I bought the mech because of its aux/aux slots specifically to test the Galihna railgun, and funnily enough it description states it was developed to house twin Galihnas. It's bretty good at that, but that's far from the only combo you can put on it. The mech is a solid combo of speed and durability, probably my favorite loyalist mech.
Cheers for the link bruv
It's damn stylish and satisfying, leveling cities is loadsa fun.
I still don't know how to consistently hit hovercraft from low-riders though.
Aim for the spot of light it makes on the ground. It's even in the tutorial!

You idiots keep whining how this game deserves to be more popular but fail to realize that it looks like shit.
Can someone post that imgur link where the devs were crying because they didnt get published?
Fucking hell what a bunch of pussys.
Well, that's just like... your opinion, man.
These are pretty sick
Really like this game but the controls fuck me in the ass more than the difficulty.
Irrelevant, it's a video game.
Have you tried alternate control schemes? Though I find the default one to be pretty comfortable after a hour or two of adjustment.
>why aren't you playing this meme game
Because you haven't posted a mediafire yet
Then stop whining about its popularity, most people don't want to play games that look like shit.
The game is visually a clusterfuck.
>most people don't want to play games that look like shit
explain consoles then
It looks fantastic though
No humanoid robot no buy.
...
Brigador mostly looks great and you're genetically a clusterfuck.
As pretty as it looks it's hard to see shit that matters and the controls will turn a lot of people off
Plus I only managed to find the game through a webm thread
>when devs try to shill their pathetic release on anonymous forum just to get few dollars
wew
...
the mech design in OP is pretty kewl but
>It's hotline mech instead of a TBS
Dropped hard
"clusterfuck" seems like a really good term to describe the visuals
>Soviet Strike and Mechwarrior
so Future Cop: LAPD? you fucking faggot
...
I felt right at home with the controls, but then again, I have played MechWarrior. I guess a lot of people newer to videogames haven't.
I'll give it a spin.
I've seen the game in tons of webm threads, but I've never really given it more than a cursory glance because of how bad the explosion animations are, but I do love me some mechs, so I'll give it a go.
>le retro xD indie pixel shit
Into the trash it goes
It's a 3D game you mong
This is what I was thinking when I saw it. Is it actually anything like future cop though?
Here is the talent that made this classical nu-retro game
Game dev is hard guyse pls cry for us ;_;
What? It really isn't. It's all sprites, good quality sprites though.
Look I know it's one of you devs that keep bringing this fucking game up and trying to get Sup Forums interested in it, but I'm not buying it until you put in achievements
get to work gaylords
This
Lowmill ammo was definitely the issue I had, but it's so hard not to be reckless with two heavy hardpoints. I also enjoyed dual 14mm on Tinker(?) more than the 30mm for giggles.
>pls buy game
>we poor and prejudged and shit
>waah waah
I fucking hate these "OH SO RETRO" indie games and I fucking hate whiny cunts who cry that their shitty game didn't sell millions.
I might pirate it just out of spite, but the game looks so fucked boring, I'd just be wasting bandwidth and time for that shit.
Look closer, vehicles are 3D models touched up to resemble sprites and buildings are also. Can't find the source but the devs talked about how they had to custom make the engine to get it to work.
>but the game looks so fucked boring,
it really is
>Forgetting there was already a Soviet Strike like Mechwarrior game
Surprisingly good game, never played any of the games op mentioned but still enjoyed
Dual Banshees just don't work for me on higher difficulties, the thing is fantastic for ripping the low armour vehicles, good vs. medium, but it just takes too long to kill the heavy mechs and tanks.
The vehicles are high quality sprites (rendered from 3D models) with 64 degrees of rotation. That's why they look so smooth and 3D, but they really aren't.
>can only see like 50 meters from your mech
How is that playable?
But what about when I'm leading my shots because they're moving?
I like the music but I get so lost with how and where I'm aiming and driving when the bullets start flying.
Well, you lead for that spot of light then? Preferably with something that has a good rate of fire.
Is what I try but it just shoots the ground where the light will be instead of where the hovercraft will be. I really don't know if I'm doing anything wrong, but I don't hear anyone else complain about hovercraft so I guess I just stuck.
Even Minecraft looks artistically better than this. The devs obviously wanted to be le epic 80's retro (like HLMiami) but failed hard.
Weird. Well, you can either spray them really generously with a machinegun or use a hitscan weapon. Banshee works amazing if you can spare a main slot, Thunderclap is an option too. Disco is a pretty okay turret slot laser.
Hm pretty much ~ I think the controls are pretty good (overall) much harder on "very" fast vehicles though.
I believe you are thinking about Party Hard, alternatively, Mother Russia Bleeds.
Many people compare the two, I honestly don't understand why. They play very differently, since in Brigador you actually have to aim, there is basic stealth (LoS and sound matter), the entire level design philosophy is different (flat level with entirely destructible obstacles vs. linear levels with lots of platforming)...
I really like both, but they really don't play very similarly.
>game looks like Tiberian Sun 2
>le epic 80's retro (like HLMiami)
>80's retro
>80's
Because it gets old quick and also looks ugly.
Bloodbath Kavkaz?
I think he means not technical level of graphics, but general style - lots of neon in the cities, synth score etc.
>every video is a black screen with a cluttered map and having no idea wtf is happening
>lol explosions xddd
not even
>google pictures
>the 3 pictures of day levels look great
>90% of pictures are ugly as ass night levels with ugly neon lights
>no idea wtf is happening
:-D
80's retro-futuristic
>>the 3 pictures of day levels look great
They really actually don't. The lighting makes the picture come together, I really like what they did there.
I think it's just the general "isometric kill 'em all mech game" vibe that makes people honk of future cop
that looks terrible compared to how the game's actual visuals
If you fags think the dark neon eye cancer looks good then stop whining why no one likes this buttugly game.
That pic at least looks legit retro and not like some fake retro neon meme crap.
only one whining is you fuckboi
Yeah faggot. Every time this game is brought up fanboys keep whining why this ugly meme game isn't popular.
Who are you trying to convince dude?
>I have shit eyes
must suck to be you, are you a mongrel subhuman with trash genetics?
>2d isometric games in 2017.
>W-why wont people buy it.
JEE I DON'T FUCKING KNOW
>a cross between Soviet Strike and Mechwarrior
i think you mean SNES mechwarrior
>2d isometric games in 2017.
That's not the problem.
Yes it is.
>hotline mech
what is "Desert Strike" or "Future Cop LAPD" faggot?
Hotline miami has nothing to deal with it.
You just proclaimed your ignorance about knowing literally nothing videogames related.
Have you never played an isometric game before?
that was just a reply to crying about price faggots on steam
It plays much more similar to a strike game.
It's not, Mechwarrior 3050 is not a good game.
Price or not they decided that the best strategy is to shill the game here.
Considering that AAA games drop the price to 15 bucks they are overcharging even at $5.
>ugly meme game
>not ugly or a meme
boi
it isn't a problem and never will be.
Good 2D isometric games are so rare nowadays it can be as well as selling point.
This game is actually good. 3050 is a slow slog with a sprite that takes up a quarter of the screen.
I was excited for this before it came out.
I had no idea it had been released.
The UI and these gameplay videos look like utter ass.
I'm not interested anymore.
>shill
game has been months (half of year?) as released and it's probably first dedicated to it thread I've seen.
Not to mention it was 50% off on steam sale or so.
>overcharging even at $5
and that's why most PC games nowadays are utter trash.
You expect too many cheap games with great quality. That isn't how it works, especially for niche products like Brigador.
This game went from a 6/10 to an 8/10 right after they patched the controls with normal twinstick settings. I know that they intended and balanced the game around the tank controls but good god did it make every combat situation a chore. If they had these controls from the start Im sure they would have sold many more copies of the game.
Yeah well whatever you say.
Next time if you want your game to sell make it according to market demands and not for patrician taste.
