A really great game that almost everyone has heard of and consider a classic even if they aren't that familiar with the medium? Probably Ocarina of Time.

Watch Dogs

>A really great game that almost everyone has heard of and consider a classic even if they aren't that familiar with the medium?
No, a really overrated shit game that's considered good only because "muh nostalgia", so no, Ocarina of Time isn't the correct example.

actually, by your definition, ocarina is absolutely the correct example

Sup Forums would disagree with you

OoT is the most over rated game of all time.

The Last of Us
>GOAT OST
>Great voice acting
>Muh repressed feelings male lead character
>Loli side kick
>well known, universally acclaimed
>classic/cliché story, buy excellent storytelling
>overpowered mêlee
>mfw ending moment

No game is half as cool or half as stylized. Next.

Fallout: New Vegas

It's criminally underrated though

I can't tell if you're baiting way too hard or if you're simply autistic. Either way, bravo. I'll give (You) one and only one.

>mêlee
frog detected

What games have Jewish protagonists?

it's literally only beaten in all-time polls when a FotM dev goes out of his way to mobilize his fanbase

cowboy bebop can be regarded as good by both people who don't know anime is a different artstyle than western cartoons and people who literally hate both

they're both overrated as shit

>considered good only because "muh nostalgia"
I played it a few weeks ago and loved it as much as I always have.
3DS version is best version.

Bloodborne

Metal Gear Solid in general.

Recettear.

Katawa Shoujo

Lost Odyssey

Cowboy Bebop had a good ending though.

It's not good. Not good at all.

...

Mate, i promise you that not everyone has heard of ocarina of time or zelda in general. Super mario is a better example

Can't argue with you there, really wish it just ended with MGS4 but maybe even that wouldn't have been enough.

Bebops ending is just too good especially with how it it gives you that feeling of closure or fulfillment. Like I'm perfectly fine that there aren't more episodes. Night and day compared with MGS5.

Cowboy Bepop: The Game.

and not everyone has heard of Bebop.

How is Spike Jewish, hes always poor and broke nigga.

bell pepper and beef

Not really comparable, imo. NV is ay rough game that puts substance over style most of the time.

FF VII

prove me wrong

...

A game that defined the medium and that no other game topped for almost 20 years?

A game with an amazing soundtrack, that focuses on gameplay, and not so much on the story.

I would say:

Half Life

>half life
>amazing soundtrack

>Spieke Spiegel
>Spiegel

do you need more hints?

fuck off fag

youtube.com/watch?v=AaXsb5kS31s

Trolling used to be an art form once

Morrowind.
why the fuck not

Oh comeon, I love half life. But the soundtrack is as generic as it can be.

>But the soundtrack is as generic as it can be.

look mom im trolling on the Sup Forums, loook

I don't think you know what that word means, chief. But ok - you're entitled to an opinion no matter how baffling it might be

>everyone who doesnt agree with my shitty taste must be trolling

I want to fuck Ed and Faye

go back to your Sup Forums cesspool

Can we all agree that megaman x is the best game ever?

never been there

How has no one said red dead redemption

>watch this animeme
>literally no story progression since everything happened in the past
>only the last episode actually matters

Why do people like this?

it's "deep" or some shit idk

Great soundtrack, characters and ending.

>great game
>enjoyed quite universally by anyone
>deep and beautiful

Hum.

Hum.

I have no fucking idea desu, I don't think anything comes close to this.

Maybe something outlandish like Black & White, or something more classic but less universal like Deus Ex. GTA Vice City maybe? Minecraft? Sim City?

maybe you just have shit taste?

Bebop has one of the best character developments in anime history, the story isnt there because your to dumb to see it. Its an episodic show based on characters pasts, if you noticed every main character had their mini arc.

>Talking shit on Bebop
>Saying OoT is good

This. I'd say OoT is a little bit worse than Bebop and has aged poorly, but they're both seen as masterpieces and many people not into anime an vidya know of them. First post best post.

Half-life obviously

>2017
>he doesn't like OoT
It's a great game, deal with it

Yeah probably this or FF VII by that standard

3, 2, 1, LET'S JAM

I'd say that Bebop doesn't even come remotely close to OoT outside of a couple of episodes. The whole series would have to be on the same level as Ballad of Fallen Angels in order to be comparable. OoT is a meticulously crafted total experience, the scope of which completely dwarfs Bebop.

The anime that actually comes closet to being the 'OoT' of the medium is Sailor Moon.

This. Only liked by people not really into the medium and with the wrong expectations of what the genre should be.

I have no words for what I just read

Please don't think I'm not being completely serious.

Bebop is capable of greatness, but there's a decent amount of anime with more total substance than it, and Ocarina is a unique achievement of its medium in ways that Bebop simply is not.

>OoT is a meticulously crafted total experience
Wew.

>rewatch Bebop in 2017
>still good
>replay OoT in 2017
>Aged poorly

>Played OoT in 2014 for the first time, without reading or hearing much about it (Zelda series is not popular in my country)
>Enjoyed the fuck out of it
>Watched Cowboy Bebop in 2015 after hearing how much i'm missing in life for not having watched it, hailed as the greatest anime of all time, hands down
>got so bored, I had to force myself to finish it, completely overrated, OST was great tho

I think it comes down to the fact that if you hear shitton of praise about it before watching/playing, you end up let down
