It seems promising up until the point where you get to use power armor for the first time, then you start to see how shallow the combat is, even compared to Fallout 3. The story, dialogue system, and voice acting are all atrocious.

"Bad guy killed muh wife and took muh baby" is a lame B-movie cliche, and there's no way to break away from that role and do your own thing like you could in New Vegas. It sucks as an action game and as a roleplaying game.
