Asylum Demon can definitely kick your ass if you mess up the plunge attack.
>inb4 git gud
It's the first major encounter of the game and it happens like 10 minutes in, you aren't exactly supposed to be a Souls master at that point.

He's got a good theme

Cleric Beast and Gundyr are both harder

I don't actually think that's a tutorial boss, aren't you supposed to die to him?

Your first blind run
Nobody has ever been impressed b people that don't play Dark Souls blind, I don't understand how you can find them entertaining games without figuring shit out yourself

Gundyr is the best tut boss in all the souls games.

What are the chances to see DeS2?

but user, its Bloodborne :^)

The second I submitted my post I knew someone is going to say that.

I never managed to beat vanguard each time I start a new playthrough of DeS, and I got Gundyr the first time with only 2 estus

Sort of, you CAN kill him, but you'll be sent to a cut scene where Dragon God punches you across a room.

Asylum demon is easy, his area is yuge and you do plenty of damage even starting out.

I have never died to Cleric Beast. Gundyr isn't really hard either.
Vanguard is still a boss I can't beat reliably

Well, yes kinda. You get some cool items though if you manage to beat him. You die in a cutscene later though

because tutorial bosses are supposed to teach you how the game works, not rek your shit

i tyhink demon's souls is by far the best souls game, followed by dark souls

>implying you didn't learn a thing or two from getting your asshole torn to shreds

On my firsts gameplay of Demons id always die to him.
DaS i only died once because i haven't see the door, and proceeded to attack Asylum with the broken sword.
Gundyr was a joke.
DaS2... ... ... What was it again?
Cleric Beast and Father G. Give me more trouble than any others.

>he had problems with asylum demon

just give up computer games in general, you dont deserve to have fun this way.

I don't think there's a boss in DaS2 before you get to Majula. So first boss could be Dragonrider, Ornstein or some others I can't really remember at this point

Last Giant, Dragonrider or Ornstein

Cleric Beast isn't a 'tutorial boss' by any means. You don't even have to encounter him at all.

Also, why is it called Cleric Beast when the one in the actual church is Bloodstarved?

Because cleric beast used to be a cleric

Damn clerics.

Oh yeah, i was trying to remember about the Last Giant

what is godhand?

I think it's:

Last Giant, Dragonrider, Twin Dragonrider, Ornstein, The Rotten, Darklurker, Royal Rat Authority

>Darklurker
What.

You can meet Darkdiver in all three of his locations without fighting a boss (I think? His location in Drangleic Castle is before Twin Dragonrider, isn't it? It's been a while).

Because technically you're supposed to die. Even if you win, you still die. The argument can be made that Asylum demon is a very difficult tutorial boss since you're "supposed" to run for the gate to better equip yourself (excluding black firebombs of course...)
Bloodborne had no tutorial boss, but in terms of first boss encounter, Gascoign being a possibility is much more difficult.
Gundyr and last giant are fairly pushovers. Though gundyr was annoying when using the thief starter, since only a dagger. But once you get the parry timing down, it's not too bad.

Not a Souls game, which is the franchise OP was referring to.

>he has problems with his brain

just give up life.

Not sure if you can get to shaded woods without fighting any bosses, you'll need a branch for that. And another branch to get to the chasm past lionmen.
But I can't remember layout of brances, everything's messed up with sotfs.

I think this is technically true?

You'd need to open the Gate of Winter though by farming souls, lol.

Darkdiver spots:
Woods (Mejula -> Woods)
Castle (Shrine of Winter souls farm -> Castle)
Black Gulch (Mejula -> Gutter -> Gulch)

No boss needed. I don't think? Been awhile.

LOL. Darklurker is the best tutorial boss senpaitachi.

You only need one branch, Darkdiver is under a drop to the right of the passage to the boss.

You can get one without fighting any bosses. Merchant Hag sells one.

That's wrong.
You can get to Drangleic Castle with 1 million Souls and 0 bosses, but you can't get to the Black Gulch without beating the Royal Rat Vanguard.

Cleric Beast is the monster from the trailer (who creeps up at the end in that room with all the pots)
You can tell because it jumps down from the level near Oeden Chapel and when you go down the stairs there you find a dead-end room filled with pots

Uh, yes you can...? Royal Rat Vanguard is optional, if you just go straight to Gutter you don't even deal with the rat.

Yes you can. You can drop all the way to the bottom of the pit and skip Grave of Saints.

Actually, to think about it, the Frozen Flower in SOTFS is before Twin Dragonrider, isn't it?
Doesn't that mean you could fight Aava The King's Pet first?

Oh my fucking god. The bottom of the Majula pit. Of course.

Holy shit, I've completed Dark Souls II 5+ times and I still didn't think of that.

Probably because you're meant to die to it.
I don't know why Dark Souls didn't follow the same route, it's a nice little bonus for repeat playthroughs.

Yes, what are you trying to say?

He's there to just kill you, the rest are there as tutorial bosses

what i just said

>beat first wolf encounter in bb barehanded
>die to cleric beast 6 times

I beaat the game twice without ever finding the grave of saints

I had to look up a guide to find it, I thought the rat boss everyone was talking about was authority
