Anyone still playing this game? Been playing on a small server for awhile now, and the admin mentioned it would be good if there were more players, to open up some more viable tribe diplomacy options. thought I'd drop the server address in a few places, after getting his ok, see how things go.

Most of the other players are pretty easy going, there's only a few who are going for any sort of PvP, most are content to do their own thing. That being said, The admin has no problems with people doing a bit of raiding, as long as it doesn't go overboard.
Did they ever add a volume bar or toggle for the annoying as hell sounds the character makes for every axe swing?

Tribe diplomacy gets extremely annoying later once you get multiple large tribes. We had to hire another tribe as our "hit tribe" that we provided guns to so we didn't look like the big evil tribe before us. I guess we did become the bad guys

That's the kinda stuff we would like more of to be honest. the one tribe thats interested in doing PvP is currently the best equipped, and keeps driving the few new players we get off the server. having a few other tribes to oppose them would be good

Either you play on your own server or their is already some powerful tribe that assrapes all the noobs on the server sittin in their wood house

Never been liking survival games before, but once i saw this, i think i'm gonna play it, what do y guys think?
I have 110 hours played across probably 20 servers and every fucking night when i would log off and log back in when home from work everything i had made had been destroyed and i didnt even have anything valuable

I should clarify, "chasing" was the wrong choice of word, more "scaring". Its not that they are Scaring them off by raiding them constantly, just that the few new players we had took a similar view to you, and once they saw how well set up they were, just assumed they would be raided constantly, and jumped ship. To be honest, the only ones that have been "raided", if you can call it that, is the tribe that keeps talking about PvP.
At the moment, general rule on the server is "bases are off limits, players out in the open are fair game". however, the few player kills we've had have been when the big tribe comes nosing around and we run them off. Other than that its all PvE thats been our only toll

Honestly the game is fun but it's a giant time sink and not properly optimized. The issue I have is that my friend could start a server (cuz fuck a normal server) and we'd spend 5 hours building stuff only to have one of us log out and then not touch it for weeks. Mainly because I can't touch my stuff unless he's on. I enjoy the game for what it was but if I could, I'd go back and unbuy the game just because it takes too much effort to just login and play.

I can understand that sentiment. The reason i stuck with this server is because its always online and it has increased harvesting and taming speed. I dont need to spend all night taming a quetz just to give up after 3 hours cause i have work in the morning.

That's exactly why we stopped, although we could and might go back later, we ended up picking up other games. If I didn't start an addiction with FFXIV then I'd probably go back to the survival games

I picked it up again recently, now I'm just searching for a small (10-15 slots) PVE server without big tribes building metal commieblocks everywhere in the maps.

thats the one thing the admin is pretty strict on, if he finds any crap like that littering the map he removes it. has asked me a few times anout my buildings cause im shit at placement, but he at least didnt wipe it out without checking first.

I'm not sure of the exact numbers, but i think taming and havesting are x3? and breeding was increased as well.

Problem is you can't really do that in big servers because there are several tribes with big numbers, they obviously need space and take all the best spots. Those servers tend to be saturated very easily and they are obviously not what player are attracted to

Again, thats why i stuck with this server. Its a smaller server, i think only 20 or so slots, and its mostly empty. people jump on when they can, but otherwise there is only a few tribes of maybe 2-5 people each
