I need some advice.
After finally saving up enough for a PC, I'm not sure which OS I should use for gaming.
I've heard all this awful stuff about W10 and telemetry. And I'm pretty sure most of my steam library isn't compatible with Linux.
What do you guys use?

The fact is new technology is not always better. I still prefer ps3/xbox360 to the new bullshit consoles, with NO GAMES. and barely any better graphics.

I have like 200 games on my computer and all of them work. The only issues I've had are usually solvable in compatibility mode. I think Witcher is the only one giving me trouble right now, it runs 100% fine but crashes whenever I exit the game. Might just be a bug or something though.

I just built a new computer and it straight up refused to install Windows 7 for me so I just bent over and went with 10. I would prefer 7, but when you delete some shit it's pretty much the same as 7.
The computer complained about cd/dvd drivers when I wasn't even using that for the Windows installation. I tried to get the drivers and it worked a little, but then the installation got stuck on "expanding windows files" and then the installation didn't work again.

I had to download some usb drivers off my mobo manufacturer's website and add them to the windows installation usb to get it to work
I've since switched to W10 anyway
I did the same thing, but it took forever and it corrupted the installation file/bootable usb.
If you can, stick with your old OS. I am sufficiently satisfied with 10 though.
