What are the ESSENTIAL mods? A friend is playing through this for the first time and I don't want to force him upon any kind of overhauls or shit like that
so far i've only got
>1st person animation overhaul
>UI plus
>community patch

Nigga my mod list is like 200+ and I honestly don't think I'd touch the game without any of them
>over 200 waifus
sawyers mod
What do you consider essential?
Jsawyer is pretty good as a rebalance.
YUP is the best patch.
not compatible with the community patches, plus it makes the game way harder
what makes YUP better than the mission mojave community patch?
i consider essential something you could ship if you re-released the game, like the mods i listed in OP
mission mojave is shit, all you need is YUP
It is compatible with Jsawyer and it covers more.
Also it keeps getting updated.
I don't think they are ncompatible so you can use the two, but it will be a little redundant.
Also IIRC Mission Mojave does a little more than patching?
thanks, i guess i'll take YUP over mission mojave then
i've already decided not to get sawyer. this guy isn't really super hardcore and i already put hardcore mode on, i don't want it to get extreme
anything else, bros?
Depends on your rigs you can add some sweets textures, an Enb, Fallout Character Overhaul.
Things to polish it up.
New Vegas uncut series is nice too.
FCO a shit
fallout 4
It is nicer than vanilla desu.
Why does any people on v hate it?
Changes the characters too much to the point of occasionally being unrecognizable
Someguyseries
I don't think the are recongnizable in the first place, exept for a few

I'm playing F:NV after ES Morrowind, and honestly I have not needed any mods, period, for New Vegas. Morrowind is older and needs the code patch, and even with the code patch, I got in the habit of f5'ing to keep from frustration from crashes. I've had 0 crashes from New Vega, only moments of great stupidity (Like playing a frail sneaky one handed gun only person and then forgetting to look carefully for traps when exploring)
Is there a mod that gives a Journal to the Courier, similar to the Nerevarine? Like you hear general information about the area that isn't a note, or a quest, but I have the attention span of a goldfish, and kinda miss the Journal function, which just records interesting or relevant shit about places and people that NPC's talk about.
What's the best bevy of mods I should go for if my computer is a piece of shit?
Yeah, these are good. Honestly NV is quite fine on itself, so if you put essential stability and bugfix mods in, it's already good enough to play unless you really want to tweak stuff.
Vanilla FNV is pretty good, but you're gonna run in to bugs sooner or later, maybe not game breaking ones but if you take a look at the YUP patch you'll see there's a lot small ones that end up fucking up your quests etc.
There are no ESSENTIAL mods. Game is perfectly playable and fun in vanilla. I have maybe 200 hours with mods and the rest 900 in vanilla.
>haven't played this game in over 5 years
>just started to play again recently
>it feels like i'm playing again for the first time
feels fucking good man. only downside is that I failed my calculus 3 course last semester
>There are no ESSENTIAL mods
YUP
If you're playing without it you're just a fucking idiot
