It's more fun than cyber sleuth, but then again punching yourself in the kidney is more fun than playing a Story game.

The only similarities they share are Mirei, Rina, shit plot that won't shut up, and worthless supporting cast that adds nothing but padding in a game about raising digimon.

It´s nothing like cyber sluts, this is like DW1, virtual pet + rpg + exploration

Cybersleuth had better graphics, but it wasn't open world like this one and I dislike turn based gameplay.

The world's more open, but the story is still very linear and blocks you from parts of the game until you continue along its track.
At least it has Luche.

Level grinding, boring fetch quests, horrible machine translation, non-datable females. It was horrible.

only bad part of CS was the translation

You never need to grind that much.

As someone who can't stomach the grind in games like Dragon Quest, the level grinding is Cyber Sleuth is really minimal, by chapter 15 I was raising Digimon from level 1 to level 40 in a single battle, and it takes less than 30 minutes to raise a mega to max level.

Nearly all of the straight fetch-quests in the game are optional side missions.

The translation isn't good, but it didn't bother me either.

The grinding in DQ isn't that bad, really. Except for the final boss each time, maybe.

The level grinding isn't even bad
You can grind that game without even looking at the screen, I fucking mashed X until I stopped hearing the level up sound while doing something else when I had to grind. Getting a team full of 99s didnt take long, and you can reset for the EXP boosting items from the farm.
