I didn't buy an xbone because of all the bullshit they tried to pull at the beginning with always online and no used games nonsense. With the lack of games I enjoy on ps4, I'll probably end up just skipping the next generation of consoles altogether.

Nah. I have exactly that combination, except it's a 3DS XL, and this thing has fucking nothing to play. I installed rxtools, bought a 32gb card and it's been a never ending stream of overrated garbage. I only like it for the coop factor with my boyfriend. Bought it specifically for SMT IV, which turned out to be the biggest piece of shit ever, and then Final turned out to be an even bigger piece of shit this time with extra pandering and moe cancer and I found myself playing the DS gems I missed rather than the shovelware of the 3ds. Thinking about selling it.

At least Microsoft will be out of the consoles business soon.

XBL is leagues better than psn, so if you wanted to play console games online, xbone would be the best choice.

I remember losing access to Skull girls even though I bought. It was the reason why I switched for to the pc version.

The original Skullgirls was removed from both PSN and XBLA but if you bought it, it still should have shown up in your download history, just not in normal store.

Master Chief Collection is like $9, my dude.
If Sup Forums still had weekend custom games threads like back in 2008, I'd totally recommend it, but if you don't have any friends for co-op or custom games then it's not worth outside of campaigns. $9 for 4 campaigns is pretty tight though, and Halo 5 is like $20 and its multiplayer is still alive and kicking thanks to the free content updates

For clarity, there are people I used to play Xbox 360 with that also jumped to the PS4. They were flakes or only wanted to play single player games so I rarely did anything with them game wise. A lot of people forgot how long the Xbox360/PS3 generation was. Many of these people "grew up" or turned into casuals. There are only 3-4 people on the Bone that I play with regularly but they have other friends that they pull into gaming all the time.

I'm not sure what it is but PSN's multiplayer community doesn't feel anywhere near as mature or hardcore Xbone's. This is almost a hilarious statement considering how awful XBL was last generation for shitters and toxicfags. I guess all those people moved onto PS4 though.

As someone who was a diehard Nintendo fan, until the Wii anyway, it's shocking how fast and how thoroughly Sony dominated the console market.

I didn't want to admit it at the time, but PS1 and PS2 are all time great consoles. PS3 ended up being the second highest selling console and by far best console of its generation. PS4 has a 30 million unit lead on the next nearest competition, better exclusives, better hardware, jumpstart on the VR meme etc etc - it won't be caught by the Xbone and Nintendo are irrelevant in the home console market and currently amalgamating their home and handheld divisions with a console that looks like its gonna satisfy either market.

As someone gaming 30 years, it's still amazing when you think about it sometimes just how utterly Nintendo blew their lead.

Got mine for Forza, don't regret it at all. Halo MCC was a huge added bonus.

I was just talking with a friend about this and we both agreed that it was kind of shitty that they waited till January to announce the cancellation all the while using Scalebound being an exclusive to push Holiday sales.

I admit I don't know much about marketing but this had to have been something they where where considering for a while.

I'm a little sad about Scalebound, but I don't regret my decision. I hadn't played any Gears games before now, and I had only ever played the first Halo so I'm having a pretty fun time with those.

PS4 was shit until two years after it's launch. I still wouldn't call it a "great" console. So many people bought the PS4 just because it wasn't the WiiU or Xbone, it's bizarre logic. I feel bad for anyone who actually preordered either a PS4 or Xbone, both got screwed over hard considering it would have been smarter to stick with 360/PS3 until the PS4 Slim and Pro came out. Hindsight I guess.

It's doubtful unless Sony dumps a lot more money into it. If the rumor is true that they couldn't optimize the game for Xbone, it's unlikely they could optimize it for PS4 which uses a weaker CPU and slightly better GPU. No way it will run on Switch as well. It would have to be Pro exclusive which would anger fans.
