That's what From Software does - they create pseudo games with no story whatsoever, incredibly broken and unfinished excuse for combat mechanics with some of the worst hitboxes I've ever encountered, and last but not least - shitty graphics.

And what's really beyond me is that gaymurr wannabees fucking love this jap trash just because it makes them die 3000 times. Strange fucking world we live in, that's for sure.

There is story, just not in the traditional sense. Like Dark Souls, but a but less full on speculation.

It is rough for newcomers. You just need to get used to the mechanics a bit.

The story is hidden in item descriptions, dialogue with other characters and the enviroment.

You keep dying because odds are you keep getting greedy when you shouldn't. Treat every enemy as the biggest threat and you'll pull through. Be sure to explore to find shortcuts and neat items. Dodge into attacks and, finally, stop being a huge fucking scrub.
