I don't see why they couldn't just make a button bring up the map since you have to stop and draw it anyway.

It really helps to actually be able to see what you're drawing a map of.

The whole point of it being in the DS was so that the map was always in the bottom screen, you can access it anywhere and anytime and it's never used for anything else

It could easily be on a mini-map if you don't have it up. A bigger screen would have a lot more room to work with. If you could bring it up at any point, it would essentially be the same thing.

I don't think so, it's more of a Wii U succesor than a 3DS succesor, because, let's face it, the battery life is gonna be shit and the price will be the same as a Home console, and while the gimmick is that you can take it along anywhere, many games now have a good use of the second screen and touch capabilities, it would be a downgrade other than in power, you don't NEED a second scren for everything, but it's handy as fuck, certainly hope that we can get V and untold 3 before 3DS actually dies out forever.

If the 3DS does get replaced, it sure as hell won't be within a year.

Well they could still add a map as part of the first person UI. I'm sure there's some way to innovate on it. EO gameplay is too good to not try to make it work on a single screen.

(I would buy a switch if EO comes to it, no joke, i've only played EO3 on a emulator and it was really fun but hard as balls until I learned it)

Literally - no, METAPHYSICALLY - the worst way to play EO. 2 boys 3 girls is undoubtedly the correct way to play, and the boys need to be your Healer (if you have one) and your Tank (if you have one). Additionally, lose 10 points for using Teach or any of her clones, but gain 10 points for using Medigirl. But remember, she can't actually be your healer. Star Drop/Caduceus that bitch. Your healer should always be the eldest possible option (Ojii Monk or Scruffy Medic), and should look as young as possible.
There you go. I 100% guarantee-edly improve your future EO experiences. No need to thank me, guilds should work together.

Probably, since that's one of the main draws of the series and a huge part of the gameplay. I think this isn't the series for you user, if you like not drawing maps but having this style of map, I'd recommend Strange Journey.
