[Spoiler]Chapter 1: Rantaro is found dead in the library in the basement. Kaede is the killer. Shuichi becomes the new protagonist.

Chapter 2: Himiko and Angie put on a magic show in the gym. During the show, Ryoma's bones are found in the piranha tank. He was drowned, then the piranhas ate his body. Kirumi is the killer.

Chapter 3: Angie attempts to revive the previous victims. She's found stabbed through the throat in her research lab. Tenko tries to summon Angie's spirit to figure out who did it and she also turns up dead. Korekiyo is the killer.

Chapter 4: Maki is actually the Ultimate Assassin. Everyone enters a virtual reality program to find information about the outside world. They don't learn anything, and when they come back out, Miu is dead. Gonta's avatar bugged out and killed her inside the program.

Chapter 5: Everyone assumes Kokichi is the mastermind. They find a body that's been flattened beyond recognition. Kokichi and Kaito have both gone missing, and they go into the trial not knowing who died. Kaito is the killer and Kokichi is the victim.

Chapter 6: Rantaro was the Ultimate Survivor. He survived a previous round of the game and had his memories wiped. There's a sixth Monokuma kid called Monochicchi, which is actually a bunch of microscopic cameras sending footage back to Mother Monokuma, a Monokuma without a body in a hidden room in the library. Tsumugi is the mastermind.[/Spoiler]

Tsugumi was a fangirl for Mukuro's organization.

She never came into contact with them, but she was filled with admiration for their dedication to sowing discord and living life to its (violent) fullest in the face of the world collapsing under tragedy. She was a timid person too afraid to ever take risks as a child and felt her life had been hollow until she learned of them, and had dreamed of bursting into wickedness and cruelty as they had ever since.

She decided to slaughter the group she was sent off with specifically because they were trying to live in the same sort of insular tranquility and peace that she once did, literally cutting themselves off from the world in a way even she had not managed.

I think based on her dialogue she based this killing game off of what Rantarou told her about previous ones, but with more interference on her part because she's a fucking psycho.

Yes, Kaede is executed case 1. No if about it - she dies for murdering Rantarou. But Rantarou wasn't dead. He and Kaede faked his death, then Kaede erased her memories so she'd be selected as the culprit for his death. This makes the culprit - a pathological fan of the original killing games - a blackened, since if Kaede didn't kill Rantarou, Kaede was innocent. The MM literally is so BTFO she executes herself. The reason Kaede went to such insane lengths is that they're on the fucking moon and Rantarou - the Ultimate Survivor, needed time and the ability to move around freely so the survivors could escape.
