So if you go to castle walse, there's a basement area with monsters called 'jackanapes' that will FUCK you UP.
however, by using the quicksave, you can avoid them and get 2000 gill, an elven mantle, and a speed spell. the spawn rate is fairly low here, and resetting restarts the spawn rate, letting you get through unscathed.
depends on how this run goes.

If that is where I recall, one of the monsters has a berserk song you can learn as a blue mage (assuming you can damage her) and they are vulnerable to Lv.5 Death, once you get it.

Shiva has 3 knight units, and all of them are weak to fire. If you don't hurry up and thin their numbers, they'll slap your shit, since Shiva dual-casts blizzara and they all hit for 95 damage as well.
once the knights are dead the fight is a cakewalk.
