MGS4 is never officially leaving the PS3, for it to look as good as it does for it's time and run as well as it does they had to build specifically for it's architecture.

They've mentioned in the past Porting would basically be a nightmare.

but user, the only MGS pc doesn't have access to if you don't count emulation is the psp ones, 3 and 4. if you include emulation the psp ones are easy and 3 could be argued for but only if you have a good pc.

MGS2 on PC is an awful port and doesn't like certain hardware, I'm not even sure it'd work on Modern Windows.

Peace Walker is good emulated.

MGS3 has broken effects they haven't been able to properly fix and doesn't "reliably" run very well even on modern good PCs.

So, plenty would be excited about PC releases of the HD versions as they are a dream to play on PS3 as is, let alone PC.

I don't remember, PPSSPP is pretty good so it's possible.

There are certain HD Re-releases of PSP games on PS3 that also run fine on PPSSPP, such as one of the Monster Hunter games, it's pretty neat.

Just for later reference, the actual games included in the 360/PS3 MGS HD collection disc are just MGS2,3 and peace walker. MGS1 was just a download code for the PSN emulated version and MGS4 was literally just a MGS4 disc packed in with a later rendition of the collection only for the PS3 version.

It was built with the short-term goal of being on PS3 and taking advantage of the hardware. Swapping out references is easy, changing how the game runs, not so much.

No. You can change the FPS from fucking 20 to 30 and 60. Going for 60 FPS breaks the game.
