>We love the community: it is you guys that ensure that we continually bring more Tales games out, and to a high caliber. It wouldn’t be fair to you if we didn’t put any systems in place to prevent people who try to acquire the game through illegitimate means as it eventually will slow us down bringing games onto PC. Denuvo has been proven to be a reliable way to fight piracy. So far, no conclusive evidence is proven to disrupt the player experience.
Based fucking BANDAI NAMCO. Piratefags BTFO once again.
I fucking love Denuvo.
Connor Gray
Stop falseflagging
Caleb Ramirez
If Baba really loved the fans he'd stop locking 90% of the game behind $250 worth of DLC since Graces.
Blake Martin
Doesn't denuvo stop modding?
Jason Bell
"Based Namco Bandai"
Pick guck g related.
Also championing denovu literally kys
Aaron White
I'm not, you retard. I actually love Denuvo.
I buy my games, so it's not a fucking problem. I'm not some retard poorfag. I can take a screenshot. Already preordered.
Asher Fisher
>continually bring more Tales games please no. this shit is the cod of jrpgs.
Isaac Roberts
That's fucking hilarious.
"yeah not that one"
Brayden Parker
>thanks for buying our games that we censor even after saying otherwise >also here's some annoying invasive drm that will be cracked in about 1week to three months
Landon Bennett
In an ideal world piratefags would get over this mentality of >pirating doesn't hurt the sales! When Bandai are clearly stating that it in fact does.
Now if only we could get a Vesperia Steam release.
Caleb Gonzalez
How the fuck is Denuvo invasive? I don't even notice it's there. I open the game, and then I fucking play it. That's it.
Piratefags act like Denuvo is a virus that corrupts your save data and fries your computer.
Carson Wright
No
Christian Harris
Disconnect your router before booting up the game.
Austin Nelson
I want to mating press Velvet
William Walker
No coincidence the last Tales game I played was a pirated copy of Vesperia with the english patch. Fuck em. They took microsoft for a ride.
Oliver Parker
Oh, no! I can only play the game if I'm connected to the Internet! How fucking terrible! Whatever will I do?
It's not 1996, you fucking retard.
Joseph Kelly

>Buy a product for full price. >Won't be allowed to play it whenever I want.
Fuck that noise.

To this day I still don't understand why people beg for a rerelease of a game with some additional content but nobody ever asks for a translation of Rebirth and Destiny 2
Ryan Carter
PS3 Vesperia on Steam is all I ask for
Jordan Walker
Does Denuvo prevent modding and stop people from being able to do things like 60FPS mods?
Levi White
Yes
Zachary Green
You're never not connected the Internet. If you are sometimes without a connection, then you're a worthless faggot.
Mason Lopez
Because a lot of people who enjoyed jap games didn't buy an xbox.

The game already runs at 60fps

Yes it does. Which is why Bethesda eventually removed it from DOOM after the launch window was long past (they waited until it was cracked anyway though, faggots).

Blake Rivera
Sucks that this game comes out the same day RE7 does.
Carson Harris
Next announcement will be >PC sales below expectation, how could that happen?
Good riddance.
Thomas Anderson
i think the Denuvo of Berseria will be "cracked" pretty soon as the guys of CPY (the only ones doing it atm) are Weebs and admitted to put things like Deus Ex and Farcry behind to crack God Eater 2 in just about 1 month time.
i think they will do the same with ToB
Parker Butler
love seeing pirates get btfo hahaha
Camden Scott
>Won't be allowed to use it with no battery No shit.
>Can't even play it without a PS4 No shit.
>Can't watch it whenever I want without electricity No shit.
>Can't play a game because anti-piracy says so.
See the fucking difference here? I'm not allowed to do this because the fucking COMPANY says so, not because it's impossible to do without.
This is fucking bullshit and you know it.
Robert Nelson
how can it be an anti-tamper and allow mods tho?
Kayden Taylor
I live in the goddamn boonies. My internet goes out every time there's a small storm, and they are literally the only internet service provider.

Except he has a point. Those costumes were usually gotten through side-quests, some of which were detailed and spanned a good chunk of the game and offered valuable insight into other characters.
Now that a lot of the costumes have been taken out, and are just relocated to "buy now", the side-quests themselves that they would have been associated with aren't in there as well.
You aren't just removing the costumes, you're removing the content associated with said costumes too and that is the problem.
Jason Foster
b-but thats not Estelle user
Wyatt Wilson
user your reasoning is honestly closer to "Because I said so" than legitimate issue. What circumstances are you in that you can not be connected to the internet when you boot up the game? This isn't anything new. You're just pissy because you can't pirate it and are trying to justify it.
Jeremiah Wright
I live in the city and my internet goes out regularly. 100% uptime internet is a meme.
Leo Powell
That's because you don't marry cancer.
You beat it down and kill it.
Parker Sanders
Don't forget they won't port the game everyone wants.
Samuel Allen
>playing demo >so some birds on a rock >shota asks how the penguins make babies >Girls have to damage control

In those eight years since that shit got released you port begging EOP faggots could've learnt Japanese and finished the game a bazillion times.
Parker Jackson
>pirate
Unlike most of the people who browse Sup Forums, I actually work for a living. I make money driving big-rigs, most of which do not have fucking wi-fi. I'm gone for 6 days of the week, and get like half a day to rest at home before I'm on the road again.
During the nights, I'd like to play some goddamn games in my truck, but I fucking CAN'T if I can't connect to the internet because of this shit.
Bentley Roberts
It's not about learning nip. It's about it being the most requested game. They claim to be fo da pplz except when it doesn't suit them.
Camden Bell
tether to 3G/4G Also doesn't Denuvo only asks for re-activation every X hours? I don't remember.
Caleb Hughes
yes
Mason Kelly
Y'know what else hurts sales? Censorship. Because if it weren't for all of their censorship I'd actually buy the game. It's ashamed because I really wanted to play this, but between Denuvo and their general butchering of the game I don't see how I can until it gets cracked.
Jason Long
demo was pretty good only problem i had was with the sound during battle now my fucking ears hurt
Landon Phillips
>muh denuvo DRM a shit, yeah. As long as it doesn't impede my enjoyment of the game (e.g. performance issues, etc) I don't give a shit.
>their general butchering of the game Such as what?
>Censorship It sucks that they changed that scene in the prologue because of muh ratings, but honestly, who cares? It's not like they altered anything else. They could've censored Velvet's outfit but they didn't. That'd have been censorship that'd have affected the whole game and that'd have been shitty.
To me it more sounds like you're looking for excuses to pirate the damn game. Feel free to "vote with your wallet" as they say, but don't try justifying it with that kind of crap.
Wyatt Cox
So is there a censorship removal patch for Steam version or what?
Juan Jones
It's ya boi, Hideo Ko-Baba! I hope you enjoyed the demo. You did collect the souls, climb the mountain via vines and unlock the treasure chest containing the corsage, right? What's that? You didn't? You have to go back.
Sorry about locking the screenshots, no delicious lewdness for you!
Brandon Sullivan
It's only one scene, that is called back multiple times, tied to the ending, lessens the characterization of the villain. Right not a lot lost with that scene.
Also removes trust on their claim nothing else was censored.
Tyler Long
...
Jason Rogers
>As long as it doesn't impede my enjoyment of the game (e.g. performance issues, etc) I don't give a shit. Not all of us want to be connected online every single time we want to play.
>It's not like they altered anything else. *that we know of
Hell, just changing that scene alone outright ruins several others in the game that call back to it. And I guarantee they censored more than that. They just don't want to say what and risk hurting sales. And don't act like faggots like you wouldn't defend them censoring her outfits.
Zachary Mitchell
She was literally obsessed with and wanted to romance an actual serial killer, she's completely insane.
Joseph Cox
That's FF.
Joshua Adams
I'm new to JRPGs. Demo's kinda daunting.
Does the real game slowly acclimate you to the battle mechanics? They're throwing new acronyms at me every five seconds.
Nathan Peterson
Is Denuvo only active when you play the game or is it some rootkit tier shit that stalks your PC so you don't touch their precious game? Honestly no idea. Never bought a Denuvo game so far.
Carter Carter
No, Denuvo works by encrypting the game exe and decrypting it by connecting to a server when you run the game, no shady rootkit shit thankfully
I'm at least thankful for that. SecuROM/Starforce was really shady shit. Glad that era is over.
Evan Perez
FF doesn't seem to release annually. Otherwise we'd be in the late 20s easily. :^)
Matthew Bennett
Right, there are edge cases where people wouldn't be able to play if disconnected, but then why would you specifically play Tales of Berseria in the middle of fucking nowhere with absolutely zero way of accessing the Internet?
Also >playing games on laptops
>*that we know of I'll give you that.
>And I guarantee they censored more than that. Why would you contradict yourself right after saying that? How do you know?
>ruins several others in the game I did not play the original, Japanese version of the game, but did that one change from a sword to magic rays really altered the rest of the narrative to the point it is "ruined"? Isn't the outcome basically the same? Artorius killing Laphicet in some kind of omnious ceremonial thing, I mean.
Yes. I'm a Talesfag and they throw you in the middle of the game with all those skills and abilities and let you figure them out.
The normal game will take it much more slowly, do not worry.
Also, if you go to the Library menu item (under System - the cogwheel icon) you'll get access to the game's help (battle book, etc.)
Liam Brown
what games in the series do you need to play before this one
Cameron Martin
>Y'know what else hurts sales? Censorship. Didn't stop Xiliia 1 form selling well in the west, and that had a sequel Also, Talesfags don't play for MUH STORY
Nathan Brooks
since they cucked their own game i'm now going to buy it instead of just buying something else that's better
-things nobody ever said
Michael Cruz
>The normal game will take it much more slowly, do not worry.
Glad to fucking hear it, man. Thanks.
Daniel Nelson
So you can't play offline? What about all the memes saying it taxes your hd/pc
Jaxon Edwards
None.
Zestiria's set in the same world, but that's it. It's not a direct sequel. Shit's set one thousand years in the past.
A real Talesfag can correct me if I'm wrong.
Carson Lee
None. The games are independent from each other, they're just usually sprikled with fun small cameo shit that make you go "Haha, that's from that one Tales game!", and have staple items just like e.g. the Final Fantasy games all have Phoenix Downs.
That doesn't stop you from playing the older games if you want, but it's not mandatory.
That's bullshit.
Kevin Ortiz
Aside from the Denuvo controversy it's causing, is this a Tales game to be hyped about? I only played Symphonia and Abyss but those were really fun.
Mason Davis
They should have fired the artist ages ago. Fucking Japanese traditions.
Nicholas Taylor
I don't think you can. Maybe if you've already launched the game online once. I haven't tried.
Yes, the taxes your ssd is a meme. it's all done in-memory.
Sebastian Baker
Most demos are like that because they want to show what the gameplay will actually be like for the meat of the game rather than show you the beginning of the game to ease you in which would mean anyone familiar to RPGs/Tales would get a very disappointing experience.
The full Tales games always start slow enough.
Ryder Smith
>hiding anime babes behind denuvo
This is the single worst idea. Denuvo will be broken by autistic weebs day 1.
Andrew Baker
This. I'm not paying full AAA price for some anime slut dressup simulator. I'll pick it up when it's on sale eventually anyway.
Zachary Kelly
When is Berseria coming out and why Magilou so perfect.
Julian Carter
From the demo and what I have read on 2ch (which didn't shit on it on Amazon for a change) and let's plays on nicovideo, it's a pretty solid game, yeah. It's also the first 3D Tales of that's also fully locked 60 FPS since Symphonia on GameCube (and the world map was 30 FPS locked IIRC in that game)
Daniel Adams
I've heard it's a return to form for the series. There's several people on Sup Forums who've beaten the Japanese release.
Josiah Lewis
>The main characters are actually all adults
Is this the start of a good tales game?
Jose White
Piratefags BTFO
Samuel Sanchez
Depends. If you just want an animu styled JRPG with an average story but nice character interaction and good gameplay then it's a very solid game but if like most Tales nostalgia babbies on Sup Forums you just want a carbon copy of Symphonia/Abyss/Vesperia instead of a new game then of course it's a horrible piece of shit as is every Tales after Vesperia.
Liam Gray
Hey, man. I'm not new to RPGs. I'm new to JRPGs.
They're more different than people believe.
Elijah Jones
What I want to know is WHERE ARE ALL THE PC FAGS COMING FROM.
This is a fairly niche JRPG series that has been exclusive to playstation for years. Are PC gamers finally tiring of their MOBAs and Counterstrike sessions?
Jose Ward
Tell me who that yellow fish is or I'll fucking kill someone.
Luis Ortiz
Velvet is 19. Magilou and the other slut look 17-19 too. Eizen doesn't have an age (looks like 30). The other retard is probably no older than 20.
Andrew Nguyen
Story isn't important to me. What drew me to Symphonia was the gameplay. Abyss was fun aside from the frequent FPS drops on the PS2.
Charles Turner
Return to form in what way? Iirc the battle controls are completely different now whereas before they were always quite similar between games with some differences at most.
