It's like Koei Tecmo hates money
It got deleted and I have no idea why, guess I'll post the webm again. Something we've all been through.

then directly after this plays:
I prefer this one.
Also another one I made. Credit goes to an user in a Beta thread long ago who said he did this and the same thing happened to him. It gave me the idea but I didn't think the other guy would do the same thing. Also I think I need a better name for it.
thanks user for the webms
Characters are:

With a 3 legged crow
Hard to tell from the size, but I think that looks like, from left to right, Tadakatsu Honda, Yukimura Sanada and Magoichi Saika. Not sure about Yukimura though, but it looks like the Sanada crest on his knee. Maybe it's Nobuyuki. The spirits look pretty cool, especially the tiger.
>Ii Naomasa
Shit, knew I was missing someone obvious in red. I got a knack for timing at least.
thanks anons. The tiger is probably my new favorite spirit
>Romp through japanese mythology
>AS A WHITE GUY
Still cant get over this
>INb4 fags link me some shitty wiki article thinking it justifies anything
Any new info about content or weapons ?
you can mate spirits with each other to make new and powerful spirits
One of Nobunaga's highest ranking men was a nigger, there's that
and what exactly triggers you so much about playing an irish dude?
Manga revealed who the boss of the Sekigahara chapter will be, pic related.
Ōtani Yoshitsugu
the thing is we dont care if we play as an asian guy or white guy because we are rational human beings who dont care about bullshit and realize we are all on the same boat called earth
This better have indirect pvp like let it die. The last thing i need is more souls pvp fags latching onto this.
>YOU'RE A FUCKING A WHITE GUY
Yeah we get it, you're a piece of shit and should probably join the EU.
Irish aren't white.

> He wrote The Races of Britain: A Contribution to the Anthropology of Western Europe. Beddoe wrote in his work that all geniuses tended to be "orthognathous" (that is, have receding jaws) while the Irish and the Welsh were "prognathous" (have large jaws). Beddoe also maintained that Celts were similar to Cromagnon man, and Cromagnon man was similar to the "Africanoid" race. Celts in Beddoe's "Index of Negrescence" are very different from Anglo-Saxons.
Not sure what you mean in regards to content, but here's the most recent stream they did and some gameplay videos from a little while before. They officially revealed the kusarigama and what the hidden teahouse does, I'll just copypaste the list of all the stuff I've noticed that's changed next post.

Someone in an earlier thread actually said there was a translation of the other hidden teahouse options called "battle of influence" and "change affiliation", which sounds like there will be a faction based indirect PvP thing.
I guess I gotta share a few of mine.
>irish aren't white.

This is honestly the only game I am waiting for in my vidya life. Maybe Bannerlord but for fuck if we can know when it's gonna drop. That said, that shit is still gonna be 79,99$ + TX CAD when it drops. Do you thing there will be digital deals before summer ? It seems most games nowadays drop in price fast digitally.
>It's a "Sup Forums tries to science" episode
...
In hindsight I should just keep the stream links with the timestamp for when combat starts, it was 50ish minutes. Anyway
>ranged controls changed back to be closer to Alpha style, Square and Triangle select ammo type, I assume a shoulder button is to fire
>when you run out of ammo, a red X covers the picture of your ranged weapon so you know you're out, pretty handy to have
>Ninja oni have been slowed down rather dramatically because it wasn't enough that they didn't hit as hard and had openings the size of a nodachi
>The horns on all oni seem to be hugely weaker, breaking in a single low stance strike. Even weakpoints are too hard
>When the mini cyclops steal enough Amrita to transform, they keep the health % they had, often making the transformation trivial as they'll die in one hit anyway
>there still hasn't been another enemy that is able to sidestrafe the way William does (except revenants which don't count for obvious reasons)
>elixir use has been sped up
>elixirs also healed much more, though this can't be said for sure since there is a skill for this and they might have put points into it
>the Ki costs in heavy armour seem to be reduced, whether it's only for heavy armour or if they just lowered everything because lol is another question, but C agility was too good before this already
>equipment can come with set bonuses; equip more in the matching set and you get more active effects
>Soul matching may have been replaced with a more typical transmog system, and the blacksmith might have an option to change hairstyle or dye armour, judging from icons
>forging in general works different, don't know how yet but the "swapping out a single effect" restriction looks to be gone
>the new icon at the shrine is for collecting dlc items, you just select it and it gives you them
>the hidden teahouse is a shop where you spend a special currency obtained online to buy rare items, skins to look and sound like other characters, random equipment and emotes
we are not going to start an alpha tantrum again
So the deer brings guardians they've shown up to 17.
In the latest stream he said around 20 in total.
So there may still be a few more.
New cutscene too.

Kerry's evil snake (Orochi?) as a special unlockable, maybe?
if we don't see cats dancing on two legs in Nioh i'm gonna be dissapointed desu
I'm kinda curious about the implications of us getting Ginchiyo's Raiken, rather than Muneshige's.
...
Kerry isn't Japanese so I don't think the snake is Orochi, I think it will have some none-Japanese origin like William's Saoirse.
In the manga William calls it Ouroborous
Probably something to do with Kerry shown taking his form in that early trailer.
this might be just me but does anyone notice nioh threads seem to go down faster than other threads?
buying a PS4 for Nioh, hope it's as good as they demos were.
I'm getting other games of course, but Nioh is going in the system first.
Do we know what all of the revealed guardian spirits do yet? I'm digging that Shark
I was just wanna see their Raikens do when they're paired up together, since you'd assume their Raikens are meant to be analogousness to the Tachibanas themselves.
Speaking of which, I have one for the Japanese history wonks here; were the Tachibanas particularly notable IRL, or is it just a case of the Japanese loving the idea of a samurai power couple?
I think it's just a case of there not really be that much interest on the whole for the game here. These threads never really get beyond about 30-40 odd people, and it's very much the same core group of posters every thread.
We have game details for the ones shown in the alpha and beta
nioh.wiki.fextralife.com
For others there isn't much.
He did say the rabbit makes you faster in a stream though so it will probably be a must for the gotta go fast low stance crowd.
yeah i guess there will be more discussions once the game releases
I saw a video of Nioh's combat system where he showed most of the moves.
Can someone link that since it's a Nioh thread?
This the one you're thinking of?
Do you ever stop?
We only know what wolfy, sharko, birb, dogger and big bull do. Sharko is fairly well balanced between offense and defense, prioritizing survival in combat with some damage boosts, letting you see enemies on the compass, and healing you when you kill enemies. Has a very long lasting but slow to fill (comparatively anyway) Living Weapon gauge.
The Tachibanas were a pretty huge deal in Kyushu, the main power struggle was between them and the Shimazu.
So I wonder how early game balancing will go. Like the first 20 minutes or so was rough as fuck because of no armor.
how many days after release until there's a video of the rabbit spirit and the sanic music?
I think you mean this but it doesn't show all the moves, only some of the finer techniques.
youtube.com
I could put my guide alongside it too, it has some info regarding some stuff that would probably help more to read alongside the game.
pastebin.com
im not really happy with the kusarigama moveset. it seems weird that he was using the ball and chain part rather than the kamas
>Ken-Sama was swept away in the Tsunami
>that mentally ill katana guy on the train drowned last year
>Will Keith's heart can only take so much
Why do all the good samurai die so young?
Honestly I think people really overrate how long it takes to get armour. When I went back into the Beta for the first time I realised that if you just look around the shore you can find close to a full set before you even get to the spear on the field .
That's just as important to the weapon as the blade really, also I think it's more that light attacks use the chain while heavy attacks use the scythe. It's gonna make different weapon types on the same class odd though, I was hoping for a wakizashi or something with that moveset but it'd need a chain included.
...
I'll never be able to get over how the train guy died in such an anime way. A true samurai until the very end.
what train guy?
Guy who had a reputation as a local nutjob in his area broke up a fight by pulling a katana on some guys fighting on a train a few years ago. Someone filmed it and it went viral.
youtube.com
Last year, he died in rather bizarre circumstances.
You've really never seen it?
youtube.com
>tfw from the story of his death, he was rowing to an island with a girl he was teaching his sword style to, when his katana fell off the boat and he dived in after it
>yells "No" before disappearing under the water
W-What pulled him under?
Is this game good? Does it feel like a soulsborne clone?
I just got a ps4 is there a demo?
>"Water elemental. Pronounced "EE-soh NAH-day", the name means "the sea's caress". Following the northern sea wings, Isonade prowls just beneath the surface in search of prey. It uses its powerful tail to entangle and pull victims beneath the waves. By the time you feel the slightest breeze, it's already too late. Believing it responsible for stirring up rough seas, local sailors make offerings to the Isonade in a prayer for calm sailing."
Both Ootani and Magoichi are able to get wings like their guardians. Wonder if that is something only they can do or the player can too once he gets their guardian.
Obviously they wouldn't let you fly but maybe flapping them can give a super boosted dodge or something.
Soulslike, but the combat has much more depth and weapons scale on more than just STR and DEX
Also damage is a lot higher than the souls games so learn to dodge.
I reread it, the katanas were strapped to the boat so that must mean he went under to find it.
>rescue spirit waifu
>grow wings and fly to Mt. Fuji for the final battle
what the fuck i don't remember the game looking as gross and choppy as this
>Tadakatsu gets a stag to reflect his famous helmet
Kek. William-sama should appear in Musou Stars, it'd be hilarious for him to interact with the SW cast. Although something like Orochi with a full cast would be more preferable.
They're webms of recorded footage, that's a few hoops to jump through. Framerate-wise the game never gave any problems for me on Action Mode, would always stay close to 60 except for few moments like on Twilight co-op.
I'd actually be more surprised if he didn't make it in, he seems like a good fit and they'll be wanting to push the game more.
But when's Gitaroo Man?
>Musou Stars is becoming Koei Tecmo Smash featuring Sega as always, they must have a very good corporate relationship but musou
Not that keen on it, but it does seem like silly fun.
>becoming
I thought that was originally the whole point, like Warriors Orochi taken to the next level. I haven't really been keeping up to date on it, partly since I don't really know all that many Koei Tecmo characters so I can't think who I'd want in it except Gitaroo Man, but what I've seen looks fun and the idea is cool, one they seem to be enjoying making too.
Any theories about what the DLCs will be about?
• Dragon of the North
• Defiant Honor
• Bloodshed’s End
If I remember right, at the same time as Sekigahara, there were two other battles going on, Dragon of the North has gotta be about Masamune Date at one of those battles, I forget the name of the place though, while Defiant Honor is probably the other one at Ueda Castle against Yukimura Sanada. Bloodshed's End is probably the last stand of the Toyotomi at Osaka Castle, which happened some time after Sekigahara.
It's not really any surprise that the original version got scrapped back when it was Ni-Oh after they couldn't figure out how to make it gel; how would a mish-mash of a Mosou and Kessen work, anyway?
I'm kinda hoping we'll get to visit Hokkaido and/or Okinawa (assuming those regions are not in the main game).
Honestly, Kessen 3 was pretty much that same idea and it worked pretty well. You controlled your army and attacked in real time with a similar combo system, but you could also use a special ability to go onto the field in a full on DW-style with a set timer, and how well you did would do more damage to the enemy's troops.
The wind blows. It is 7 in the morning, William-sama woke up to the cold morning. He got up, and went to the bathroom to wash his face. William-sama live in the traditional Dazaifu shrine, he only fought in a room though. The young couple is nice enough to let him stay in their shrine. William-sama grepped his kimono and wear it like a proper nihonjin, he walk to a window and smell the fresh nihonjin morning. “Ah, konbanwa anatas. What beautiful morning desu.” William-sama zoned out looking at the beach from his room. William-sama went upstairs to greet the couple. “Ah, ohayou Muneshige-san and Ginchiyo-chan”. The couple replied him with a warm smile and proceed with their breakfast while inviting William-sama. Although William-sama can not understand them, he easily could read what the couple is trying to say, he is born with this talent. “Arigato.” William-sama said, he then went downstairs to take a few things. He took a bokken and a katana, the katana is hidden in his kimono and the bokken is on his obi, this is to avoid his weapons breaking as he was warned last time by conquerors. William-sama will be going on his usual morning walk to sightseeing the glorious nihonjin country. “Itadakimasu Muneshige-san and Ginchiyo-chan”, they gave him a mixed smile and a slightly confused expression.
William-sama reached the village near the beach, he like to watch kodama playing as it is a something that can warm his pure heart. Suddenly, a sudden tremor. No, it’s more terrifying than that, it’s an earthquake, a huge one. The ground was shaking and beginning to crack, William-sama look at the kodama, they were running away terrified, “minna san! do not run around! Stay in place!” The kodama couldn’t understand what he was saying, he gestured what he was trying to say, he ordered the kodama to stay at the shrine as it is too difficult to find them all. But that was William-sama’s mistake, he look at the ship from afar. It was huge, a yokai is coming. William-sama widened his eyes and look at the kodama and yelled every Japanese word he knew “Arigatou gozaimasu! Gomenasai! Run away minna-san!” The kodama ran away, the oni is coming, it was at least 100ft tall. William-sama was ashamed with himself, he should have anticipated this, if he did the kodama would be far away by now. “sumimasen mina-san, it was my mistake”, he took his hidden katana and dual wield with the bokken and katana. As he ran towards the yokai trying to stop it, he uttered his last words. “Arigatou Tachibanas. For taking care of me” The onryoki strikes. A shout is heard; “I'm a Conqueror!”.
Manga has shown guardians "evolving", really hope that is a gameplay element.
fuck you
From the Alpha and Beta we know they've got levels, so maybe once they get to a certain level they'll evolve and get more abilities. It'd be cool if it was something like that, but with so many in the game it seems hard to handle.

But it wasn't that he was Irish, it was that he wasn't a samurai.
strong conquerors assemble
post pasta
it must be in every nioh thread
No matter what it turns out to be, The Mark of the Conqueror is significant.
Before I say why I need to divide the Souls community into two general groups - Conquerors and Conquered - and quickly define both.
Both have basically been around since Demon's Souls, but the very nature of the Conquered demands that the Conquerors come first. Why? Because Conquerors beat the path and light the way. Afterward, like mold or a rot, the Conquered seep into the community, ever at the heels of the Conquerors.
How is that? Either by a lack of information upon release or due to a self-imposed restriction, the Conqueror goes in blind. Conquerors embrace the challenge From Software has extended with each release in their Souls/Bloodborne Series while the Conquered abhor it. While Conquerors scratched and clawed their way through levels and boss fights, the Conquered poured over FAQs, Strategy Guides, Wiki Articles, Google Search Results, Let's Plays and How to Videos.
Therefore the Conquered subsist by virtue of the illumination spread over From's games by the Conquerors, entirely dependent on it. Overtime they've let themselves forget this, fancying themselves old hands as they bring their borrowed knowledge and tactics to bear on each successive release.
And then here comes f***ing Nioh, reminding the Conquered who they really are. And with little to no documentation in sight they hide behind s***posts so they can cling to that "gud" status they worked so hard to attain. Eventually they'll be back. Once the Conquerors have shown the way, that is.
And that's why The Mark of the Conqueror is significant. No matter how superficial, uselessly cosmetic or quickly outclassed it is, it still says I'm not this guy . No, I'm a Conqueror.
There will be new conquerors for a new game. They will come from the old conquerors and the conquered and some from neither.
As will the new conquered.
That's what it says, it's just about a particular set of people who blamed the Alpha and turned Nioh into the game it is now.
