I just played Fallout 3 for the first time last year. Moira's quests were the first ones I did in the entire game.

Why wasn't Megaton a lake? It's a big crater with zero drainage. Even if it never rains, it's got leaking pipes everywhere, and that water must be coming from somewhere.

The leaks are new and slow, the water could soak into the ground. and the pipes could possibly lead to a pre-war water source. Don't forget that sinks, toilets and other water sources still work throughout the wasteland.
