Dumb anime poster.
is she autistic?
That gif is incredibly autistic. Christ, I can't look away.
>level up refills your hp/mp
>game has panties
>September.gif
You will never be this happy
Delta was shit.
...
>have to level up manually
>save it until you need it then go ballistic with two lives for the price of one
what's her fucking problem?
>That incredible pilot
>All of the potential to be a great Macross after all this time
>85% of the episodes were bottle shows, ending doesn't give any fucking answers
Of all the things that went wrong in 2016, this one isn't talked about nearly enough
Doom16 was unbelievably great.
I was born 97. I was raised on halo and cod.
Nothing compares to the rush I got playing doom. I kept muscle memory mashing R throughout the entire game that I had to unbind it, but holy shit, I can't believe anyone ever thought reloading was a good idea.
>game has anime cutscenes
...
>game has all that, but also instakill pits
I enjoy Darksiders, too.
>you were born too soon to explore the animeverse
>Doom16 was unbelievably great.
How the f...
>I was born 97. I was raised on halo and cod.
oh. That explains.
nuDuum is such a perfect pleb filter. As in plebeians get stuck on it and think it's such hot shit.
>ledge grabbing
This disrupts the flow of platforming, the longest jumps expect you to reach the edge of a ledge instead of landing on the ledge, so you run through an animation and rest your momentum after every jump.
Enlighten me user. What should I play?
*Unzips dick*
Need I say more.
"What you want" would be the honest, mature answer.
Assuming you meant something like "So if nuDuum is shit, what's a better alternative?", then the original Doom and the other 1990s classic "Doom clones" (Douk, BLOOD...) would be must. Just maybe they will teach you why us oldfags loathe the lockdown arena + RPG mechanisms bullshit in the new one.
If you want something more modern and very close to D44M, then Serious Sam 3 is the perfect example of re-warming an old FPS IP without butchering it for the HALO audiences and underperforming console hardware.
It had everything people praise about nuDuum, but alas, it was foreshadowed by other late 2011 shit, like Skyrim and BF3. Fun as fuck alone, total blast in co-op that can hold up to 16 players.
>game has hand-holding
Thank you, enlightener.
>le flow meme
>what is rhythm
>what is variation
Kill yourself.
a classic
ruined
>it was OVERshadowed by other late 2011 shit,
FTFM.
speaking of Sam 3, it's a perfect proof that you can have modern visuals, fucktons of enemies and great performance, all in one package.
>what are things regular platformers accomplish just as well already
>series was stylish and tasteful
>series now is full weeb
And you can even pilot a robot in Titanfall!
>loathe the lockdown arena
That's fine, it cuts down design costs as you don't have to balance the interconnecting bits too much between arenas.
>+ RPG mechanisms bullshit
This is how I know you're not a true oldfag fan of Id. Early Id was true geek culture and interwoven with it in its whole, like D&D. RPG mechanics are true to this spirit, and disparaging them completely only shows you were just as much a casual then as you claim fans of nuDoom to be now.
Almost none of the original creative forces behind doom are working at Id now, plus RPG mechanics where completely absent in the original doom, so that point is not really valid
>That's fine, it cuts down design costs as you don't have to balance the interconnecting bits too much between arenas.
No, it's not fine. It's very similar streamlining bullshit as regenerating health ended up being.
>I'm not a ""true fan"" because old devs liked D&D
Great pseudo-intelligent fallacy attempt, broski.
Excuse me while I don't appreciate slapping tons of generic upgrade trees and lazy filler on an already butchered reboot of an old classic known for its dynamic, fast action with no bullshit.
Just because old ID copied the Beholder's design for one enemy and wanted Quake to be an "offline MMO" of sorts does not mean that Doom ever was meant to be an RPG. Even less so a modern, rehashed FPS-RPG hybrid with no map design.
>game has fall damage
>game has double jump
>doing the double jump late doesn't reset how much fall damage you take
>game seems like it could be good but it's two times longer than it needed to be and the ending was very unexciting
What is Bravely Default?
I was shitting on the anime in the OP
I was gonna post this.
Is this a JoJo reference?
>Ledgegrabbing and other platforming mechanics are extremely situational and you can't interact with most of the environment
