When the xbone was announced I made a joke dewrito xbone and a huge xbone 4k version.

The idiots actually more or less made both. There's a mtn dew xbone around somewhere and the scorpio is basically the xbone with a proper gpu I joked about.

Getting an xbone is really only justifiable if youre playing Halo on a pro/semi pro level.

I like it because it works well with my PC and I didn't have a 360 last gen so bc is nice.

Sunset Overdrive was the main reason I got my Bone, it's real good. Reminded me a bit of JSRF with the original Xbox

I've got a controller for my PC. Feels good, but really light. Kind of wish if was a bit heavier.

I was gifted an Xbox one in like 2013 or something. I really enjoyed playing with a group from work but about January 2016 I just completely dropped it. Advanced warfare and halo were the only things I played on it anyways, but having to pay for online was retarded.

What is there for Xbox One at all that PC doesn't have? Just Forza? I don't understand the point at all. I'm not saying the Wii U isn't a failure, but at least you get a cheap system with a few decent exclusives instead of none at all.

I got it because the only friends I had in my town moved away and it's one of the ways I can stay connected with them. I am gonna be moving up with them though so when I do I'm getting a PS4

This was the straw that broke the camel's back for me concerning consoles.
I can still it the 30fps (thanks to motion blur). But the dynamic 1080p + that = i bought a PC.

Same. Console gaming was still cheaper overall I think, but I'd rather spend $700 and get silky smooth great looking gaming. I'm finding I'm liking a monitor better and better. I still use the controller a lot though. I the elite wasn't absurdly expensive I'd buy one.

I think the issue is that he doesn't like Nintendo games, which is totally fine but that's literally the only reason to do the PC + WiiU combo since Nintendo imo has the larger amount of decent exclusives.

They dug their grave the day they announced Kinect would watch and listen to you even when the console was off, to farm that ad-agency info for a "tailored experience based on your likes and interests".

Anything they did after that didn't matter because all Sony had to do was say they wouldn't do that; and they didn't do any of that; and it was an instant win.

Development is based largely on retention rate. Developers have no incentive to develop for an under-performing market. WiiU is the obvious example, but THE ONE already had made sure it's foothold in the market would be stunted and stagnate.

So you can believe it's because they have no games, but that was developer choice (to avoid the platform) based on Microsoft already having shot themselves in the foot by trying to sell a SpyBox with Game Playing Capabilities(tm).

Between the 360 and the XBone people in suits who don't know shit about games took more control over the division. Had they managed to attain profitability in time things might have been different, but RRoD killed any chance of that.The relative success they had in the early days were because they were basically left alone to do whatever the fuck they wanted.

There's also the issue of shfiting priorities among the leadership- the XBox is the relic of an era where the endgame of MS was that every electronic device you used was running their OS, from your PC to your phone to the box under your TV. XBox was the trojan horse for that last part. Now, though, the endgame is more about selling services to people and not really giving a fuck about the devices/OSes they use for those services.
