Is Conquest's story really bad?
I know the series is not the pinacle of game writing, but everyone mentions how shitty it is when FE14 is discussed.

It's easily the worst story in the entire franchise. The whole game is made less fun because of how incredibly stupid the story is.

I'd say the argument about Conquest's story is whether its worse than the other two routes' stories.

None of them are up to snuff; its just a question of which are bad, and which are just mediocre.

Conquest does try some new stuff with its story, but it doesn't execute it well. That might be better than Birthright's story, which is really bland. And better than Revelation's mess of a story.

It's pretty damn bad. It attempts something new I guess, but it feels like they rewrote so many bits but forgot to rewrite other bits and it's just a complete mess. Pic related is just an overview of the plot but really makes it clear just how poorly thought out it is. The interactions that go on inbetween everything doesn't even make up for any of it. This isn't even going into all the shit with Takumi and how the final boss gets handled.
